Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lucy is a gentle loving dog who makes her way up to you while you relax on the sofa, at first placing her head into your lap and eventually hoping to be snatched up for a snuggle. She is definitely a big lap dog! Once in your lap she is only to happy to snuggle in and keep you warm for as long as you will let her. She loves to play in the yard with our other dogs, jumping and running and loves to fetch a tennis ball. She has learned cues to 'sit' and 'down' for treats. She is learning leash training, and is making strides to being a good walking buddy. Her coat is silky soft and black as a raven's wing, with a complete circle of a bouncy ... (Read More)little tail. She is a very quiet girl, gentle, and would be a fantastic companion. She sits so pretty for treats, and goes happily in her kennel when you tell her to go to bed. She was very shy at first after her facing her life and death ordeal caught in a kill shelter, but has since grown to start trusting humans again by leaps and bounds. She has learned to trust her foster family, but it will take some adjusting to get used to others so adopting Lucy will require patience on the part of the adopters. it won't happen instantaneously, but when she comes around it will be most rewarding. Her foster family consists of 6, 8 and 14 year old human foster brothers, 5 dogs, and 2 cats plus foster parents and it took a little while for lucy to get adjusted, but when she did it has brighten the household. She instantly fine with the cats and does good with dogs and especially children six years old and up give a chance. She will do well with most any family situation. If you're looking for a sweet, loving, soft spoken dog that rarely barks to add love to your home, please consider Lucy. She is as sweet as they come! Greatly suited to be someone's companion and snuggle buddy. Lucy is a black lab/ Pyrenees mix, medium sized girl of 48lbs and won't get much bigger. At approx 8-10 months of age she is fully vetted, up-to-date on all shots, heart worm neg and on prevention, spayed, micro-chipped and ready for a loving home.     Heidi's a sweet dog. Our kids have moved on. Plus she's got allergies to plants that are worse here in the south. We're treating her and most of her hair has returned, but our vet recommends a cooler, less humid, woodsy climate. And she simply needs more love and attention.

Pure bred Lab still a puppy. Awesome with people he views as his pack....we have found that the people he is around regularly are the ones is most comptabible with. He has some dominance and territorial issues with people he does not know or are not around him on a regular basis. We really want him to go to a loving family with lots of time to spend with him. He knows a few tricks and loves to play catch and fetch....he is such a loving dog to his 'pack' and he is a watch dog which is not much heard of for labs evidently. He is up to date on all his shots.

Victoria is an extremely shy girl that lost out on the touch and companionship of humans at a very young age. She was found running the woods in a small community in Northeast AL It is sad that Vicky never felt the touch, hug or warmth of a human hand until she was 5 months old. She will come close to her humans but she does not want to be coddled, cuddled or held in anyway. She will allow a pat on the head of a scratch behind the ears. She is NOT agressive in any shapre or form. She would make a wonder pet if given the chance but needs lots of space. If you are looking for a companion, but not a lap dog, or a dog that wants constant ... (Read More)attention, then Vicky is the dog for you. She must not ever be allowed to roam free. She has to be contained behind a fence or on a leash at all times. Vicky will only be allowed to go to an experiended trainer or behavorist. Vicky is great with other dogs, she walks well on a leash and she is crate trained. If you would like her to become a house pet then some basic training is all she needs. She will come in the house but only on her terms, and she is by no means a lap buddy that will snuggle on the couch with you. Please consider that she is a good outside dog but we would prefer in a house enviroment. (Less)

Marvin is around 1.5 years old. He is loving, and knows basic commands such as sit, shake, down, etc. I rescued him from the pound; he had been a stray and was very skinny. Marvin enjoys playing with other dogs; he does well with most of them. He is good with people and very friendly with children, though due to his size I would not recommend him being in a home with young children. He is around 85 pounds. He is an indoor dog, but likes to run around in a big yard with a privacy fence. He would like to have a dog friend in his new adoptive home.

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only.  Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Hi, I am looking for a rescue group to take this sweet boy. He just appeared in our yard one day in mid October. He was thin and limping. He has had FHO surgery and is almost ready to be placed with a rescue group. He has been fully vetted, is UTD on shots and is heartworm negative. Vet suspects he is about a year old. He is house trained, crate trained and walks on a leash. He is full of energy and loves to play with toys. He is curious about cats, but does not appear to be aggressive. He seems to be good with other dogs, but as a puppy, wants to play and gets in their face. We have put a lot of energy, time and money into this boy to get ... (Read More)him ready for adoption.     Lil Bit is a 2 yr old Terrier mix that was living in horrible conditions because of hoarding. Up until she came here she had very little social interactions with any other dogs or people other than those on the property. She is scared and shy at first but with patience, time, and lots of TLC she comes around. She is good with the other dogs here now. She needs basic training but learns quickly. She is Heartworm negative and utd on all her shots and preventatives. She can not go to a home with small children or cats. She will make a wonderful companion to the right person or family. Out of state adoptions are an option.

He has put on a bit of weight at the shelter during his time here, or you could say he has had a few too many Thanksgiving feasts... But he would love to join your family (and family table!) He is a handsome and filled out 4.5 to 5.5 year old boy that certainly has some lab in him. Come visit and he may steal your heart (or your lunch!) He is very handsome, and we think he could be a melting pot of a lab, kuvasz, golden retriever, and chinook.

Hi there.....my name is Kipper....but my friends call my Kip....I'm a handsome, 4 month old Lab mix who was rescued from a hoarder. All my siblings got sick after they were rescued but I didn't. I must be the strong one in the group. I finally got to rejoin my siblings after 2 weeks and boy have we been having a good time. I love to run.. My foster Mom often makes reference to Forest Gump but she says, 'Run Kip, Run'....I enjoy playing with all my toys especially my stuffed raccoon. I haven't seen any real raccoons but there is this pesky little squirrel who sits in the tree and talks to me. Of course being a gentlemen, I respond back ... (Read More)by barking at him. I am up to date on my vaccinations and weighed 21 pounds at my last Vet visit. He says I'm going to be a big boy when fully grown. My appetite is great and I sleep throughout the night and sometimes I snore. I enjoy being outside and I've mastered the art of digging and collecting sticks. I do have a softer side and enjoy crawling up in my foster Mom's lap and getting a little one on one time with her. I'm very affectionate and sweet. Everyone loves my black nose and black around my eyes. They say I'm handsome. (Less)
