Rescue Me ID: 14-09-30-00855Max (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Beautiful 6 year old male. Ideal home would be with work from home/retired couple who is home most of the time. Husband is a firefighter and I work full time so he has developed separation anxiety and we don't think it's fair to medicate him because he's lonely. He doesn't require a lot of exercise, he just requires love and people around versus gone 8-9 hours per day. He's sweet around other animals and has never bit or been aggressive. If you have a whole hearted, genuine interest in giving this guy a 'forever' home please email us. Thanks

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I am Spartacus! Don't let my name fool you, I am big but I am a lover not a fighter. I came to Anythings Pawsable with my friend Jake. We ran out of time at the Blackfoot Animal Shelter and were lucky there was a foster available for us here. They say I am a boxer/lab mix but I act more like my boxer relatives. At six months old I am very outgoing and still like to goof around a lot with my foster brothers (dogs and kids) but I am not really interested in the cats . . . all they do is sleep and that's not fun. Sometimes I forget how big I am when I am excited and bump into my foster family but I am getting better every day. They told me I ... (Read More)needed to be neutered and get vaccinations before I could find a family, so I got those out of the way quickly. Now I am just searching for a human (or two, or more) who needs a friend to play with. Are you my human? If you think you are Spartacus's human please fill out our adoption application at http://www.anythingspawsablerescue.com/#!applications/c1c5p. There is a $135 adoption fee to help cover the cost of his vetting. (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey there! Boog here. Unfortunately, I am a pro at this rescue stuff. I came into Anythings Pawsable with 4 of my Catahoula/lab brothers and sisters a few months ago and they all got adopted pretty fast. Although I was bummed that I got left behind I didn't let it keep me down. I did get to try out a home for a couple days but unfortunately due to my human friend's allergies I needed to come back. After seeing what a family of my own would be like I am very excited to find a forever home. I would love if they had other dogs, or kids, or cats already in their family. I really like them all, but that isn't required for me to be happy. I just ... (Read More)turned 7 months old, and I am up to date on my vaccinations, and was neutered just so I could be ready to go when I found that special family. If you are looking for a family member to do fun things with and get slobbery kisses from, I am your guy. If Boog sounds like your kind of guy please go to our website and fill out an adoption application at http://www.anythingspawsablerescue.com/#!applications/c1c5p There is a $135 adoption fee that will help cover the cost of his medical. Rescue Me ID: 14-09-28-00248Kootenai (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Kootenai is 2 yrs old Lab mix who is looking for her forever home. This beautiful girl is pretty darn amazing and is the perfect fit for any active home. She is a typical outdoorsy kind of Lab - loves walks, runs, hiking, camping and of course the water! She enjoys playing ball in the backyard as well. Someone who is looking for a dog that can go everywhere with them can stop looking now because Kootenai is their girl! She has been around numerous other dogs of all different breeds, shapes and sizes and does great with all of them. Kootenai has never been around cats but our guess is she would chase if they ... (Read More)ran; but probably wouldn't hurt one. Kootenai is good with kids but still tends to get rambunctious and can easily knock one over when she gets excited. This lovely lady has never met someone she doesn't like; unless of course they won't let her kiss them. She has all her basic commands down pat but can always use more training; she would thrive with someone who can keep not only her body but her mind engaged. She is house trained and crate trained and has no bad behaviors (as long as you don't think the occasional lick is a bad behavior). If you are looking for a well rounded, active dog to add to your life then why not fill out an application to meet Kooteani: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Kootenai is spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Just a little tidbit on Clay. He loves the ladies. :) He's kind of a smoozer, he knows he's adorable and he definitely knows how to wiggle his way into a girls heart. There are some doggies that come along and we think,,,,,,hum what is he. Well besides being super cute we're not totally sure. So I'm going to guess. I think he has some lab in him because he likes to chase birds, He just doesn't jump high enough to catch them. :) Second guess is a bassit hound, except he doesn't bay......... So maybe Beagle. HeHe Whatever he is we love him. He minds very well comes back when called, sits nicely for treats and gets along with ... (Read More)girl doggies and males who are neutered. He is also potty trained and acts like a gentleman in the house. Someone to go hiking with and camping would be super fun. Come see our little freckle face kid. Urgent: This animal could be euthanized if not adopted soon.

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-14-00455Gracie (female)

Lab    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats
Personality: High Energy
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Gracie belongs to a homeless Vet. Until last week they had a home in assisted rent complex. Gracie has never been house trained and had not been socialized to people. She was housed with a cat and they got along well. Suddenly Gracie is living outside and her world is scary and uncertain. She barks and growls when approached but is approachable. We now have a collar on her and she adjust very quickly but she chewed the leash off when it was on her for 30 minutes. Gracie is wonderful with her human, bouncing and playful, fetching/retrieving but has zero manners or training. She will stay very close when they walk anywhere. She seems to be OK ... (Read More)with our two border collies, growling and barking but not assertive or aggressive, even touching noses. If I had time I would work at training her, I think she could be a great dog, but at this time she is scared and has three days before she must be taken to the shelter. Due to her growling, hackles up and lack of any social skills with humans I don't think she will make the cut to the floor and therefore will be euthanized. Gracie had her first real meal today in weeks and looks very full in the picture. She is playful. I can go into the enclosure even when her human is not there and while she is scared and very tentative she is also reservedly curious. Her world has been turned upside down as she went from knowing a small 5th floor apt as the whole world to living outside ad having a lot of activity and people around. She is not one to bark all day or excessively, she did try digging one day but had not eaten in two days, I took her food, put a digging obstacle in front of the gate and have had no further problems. She is alone most of the day and does not exhibit a habit of tearing up or senseless chewing. We would like to see Gracie get a fair chance at life. Who ever adopts Gracie will need to show they have the skills to train this girl. She is a gorgeous gal with bright eyes and perky ears, a playful bounce and the desire to please her human. He just is unable to care for her, and is out of options. He has asked me to post this on his behalf. He is staying at our house, outside with Gracie for 4 more days. Then they are both gone. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-08-00447Stout (male)

Lab    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We need to find a new home for our slobbery loving 6 year old chocolate lab named Stout. We love Stout very much, but ever since we adopted him from the Humane Society (4 years ago), he does not do well around children. The ideal home for him would be somewhere he could be active, part of the family, but no small children and preferably no other large dogs. He needs time to adjust to other four legged family members. He is obedient, house trained, loving, cuddly and very eager to please. This is really hard for us, but we have made the decision it is probably best for our family because we are having a new baby soon. If you or anyone you ... (Read More)know might be interested, we'd love to have you meet him and would love to be able to talk with you about a possible new home for Stouty. Give us a call if you are interested. We really want to find a good place for him. (Less)

Lilly is a sweet and mellow, happy go lucky...female, 2-3 year old mix. She gets along with most everyone, although she does hold her own if challenged. She just loves her sister Bailey and they would prefer to be adopted together, although they are willing to separate if the right homes came along. These two would be the perfect adoption for a family looking to bring in new pets, into a home that is currently pet free...because these girls comes as a familia already :) They both are small, petite gals only about 30-35 lbs each and will keep each other company all day long!     Bailey is a very sweet, small girl. Her and her bonded sister Lilly would love to be adopted together. They both weigh only about 30-35 lbs each. They get along great with each other, as well as other dogs...large and small. These two are perfect together, but would be willing to be separated for the right families. Bailey has a little bit higher energy level, but playing with her sister and other dogs suits her just fine. Cats seem to be fine, but meet and greet is required for prior pets in home. Secure yard preferred, willing to discuss options. Adoption fee for both Bailey & Lilly as a pair is $125.00

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Idaho
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Idaho Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. The Labrador Retriever is by far the most popular dog in the U.S. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
