Rescue Me ID: 15-05-29-00120Hermes (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Kuna, ID I'm Hermes and I am a 1 year old male Labrador/Border Collie mix. My friends at Fuzzy Pawz said they were going to find me a home of my very own; but to do that I had to tell you all about myself so here goes. I somehow found myself at a shelter about a month ago; I was pretty scared and skinny and I had a bad limp. I was able to go to the vet and get pain meds for my leg and it is all better and I'm now 100%! Now I'm lucky enough to be living with a foster family and I have been able to shake off the scared me and show them the real me! I admit I can still be a touch shy with new people, but if you have a treat ... (Read More)in your hand forget about my being shy and I'll be all over you trying to please you. And I don't forget those people who gave me treats; you will forever be in my heart! I am living with a 10 year old boy and he's pretty awesome (he gave me treats when we met) and I've met a one year old - didn't like that very well - man are they LOUD. To be honest I'd prefer to live with kids that are 6 and up; that is a great age for a dog like me. I enjoy long walks or even better runs; I'm a great running partner and I'm good on a leash. I really want an active family that will take me out every day with them so we can do stuff together. I love to ride in the car so hiking the trails is also a great option. I also like to play ball in the back yard - you know most anything that I can do with my people is what I enjoy the most. Oh and you need to know that I really do like to cuddle with my best human friends. I am very good with other dogs and don't argue with them over toys, food or affection; I know there is enough to go around. I admit that I don't like cats one bit so please if you have a cat know that it's nothing personal against you but I just can't bring myself to share a home with one of those things. I am house trained and crate trained - though I admit I do whimper a bit when you put me in one because I know it means you aren't going to spend time with me. I'm basically a really great boy; I'm smart as can be and eager to learn; won't you please take a chance on me? If you would like to set up a play date please let my friends at Fuzzy Pawz know by filling out this application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $40 adoption fee for me Oh and you also need to know that I'm neutered, vaccinated and microchipped! Rescue Me ID: 15-05-26-00321Sadie (female)

Lab    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Sadie is a very sweet 8 year old Lab mix whose owners could no longer keep her or her sister. Now Sadie's sister has found her forever home and Fuzzy Pawz Rescue thinks it's about time for Sadie to find hers. This lovely girl is such a great house dog; she doesn't get on the couch, she doesn't get into things, she's house trained and just an all-around very nice dog. Sadie knows sit, down and shake and she like to play ball, but isn't crazy about it. She will need regular walks to make sure she stays at an ideal weight; she does pull on the leash when out and about; but regular work on that and regular ... (Read More)exercise and that should stop. Sadie does appear to have a touch of separation anxiety when she is left outside by herself. She has tried to dig under the gate in the back yard a few times; but is getting better as she settles into her foster home. Again a regular routine and a stable home environment and this behavior will go away Sadie grew up around kids and is good with kids of all ages; just remember that the kids must be respectful of dogs - no ear/hair/tail pulling, or sitting on the dog and Sadie and children will get along great. She does pretty well with most dogs and is indifferent to cats. This girl is in great health other than she does get infected ears once in a while - nothing major and she is currently cleared up. Sadie is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines. If you are looking for a loyal companion Sadie is the girl for you. All you have to do is please fill out an adoption application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $40 adoption fee for Sadie. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-25-00139Nike (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Neutered

Nike is a 7 year old neutered black Lab. Though he's no longer a pup, he doesn't act it and enjoys romping around, playing frisbee and fetch. If you've got the time, he's got the energy. Nike is a bit hesitant with new people but it takes very little time for him to warm up and a treat or two is a sure way to win his affection. He knows sit, down & come plus it's reported he will play dead...point and 'shoot' your finger and say bang and he will perform. This high energy boy is reported to be house & kennel trained, good with older kids, dogs and cats. Nike is apparently not leash trained so that is an area he will need consistency in ... (Read More)training and a sturdy handler to correct. If you're looking for a sweet tempered, active four-legged friend, please visit the rescue during business hours, 11 am - 4 pm daily. *Please contact the rescue for Nike's adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-25-00133Katie (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Spayed

Katie is an eight month old Labrador Retriever. She came as a transfer from a shelter so little is known of her past history. Though she's unfamiliar with a leash, she has caught on quickly that it means she gets out of her kennel for some exercise & play time. Katie makes decent eye contact and will work for treats, which she sits for and accepts fairly nicely. Katie has a sleek and silky black coat with white toes and a white bib. She appears not to be house or kennel trained but is young and anxious to learn. Katie seems not to know many commands but a whistle will work to call her. Katie is a happy, smiling and enthusiastic girl looking ... (Read More)for a family to spend time with and a pack leader who can teach her the ropes. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-12-00754Grant (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Grant is a 110 pound Labrador Retriever with what we suspect is a little bit of Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He is healthy and up to date on his shots. Grant is a good companion and has been an indoor dog so he can go for six hours or so between trips outside if necessary. He loves to fetch a tennis ball and go for walks. He does good on the leash however reminder training would be beneficial. We are getting a divorce and neither one of us can keep Grant, however, we hope to see him go to a good home with a family that can love him like we do. Phone calls only, please. 208-971-4140.

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-08-00405Tazz A Razz (female)

Lab    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Tazi is a 6 month old chocolate lab but no longer puppy size. She is a beautiful lady. Tazi came to us from a family that no longer had the time to give her the attention she needed. She is almost potty trained and loves being outside. She might not look like a puppy but inside her little head she still is. She is curious, sometimes a chewer and she likes to dig randomly in the yard... She loves her doggie friends dearly. She will give them kisses while her tail wags 100 miles an hour... Tazi loves all other dogs but it takes her a bit to trust new people. She's a little skiddish and will run away from all newcomers...Tazi just needs ... (Read More)time and someone very gentle and soft spoken. She's worried about almost everything and talking to her constantly helps let her know everything will be ok. She's learning to trust and she loves her foster mommy. She knows how to sit and she definitely knows what a treat is ... I truly believe with time she will overcome her fears and one day she will know that the world isn't so bad. That everything will be ok and that most people are good. She would love to have an inside home a nice fence yard and a doggie companion. She is good with kids and would love the chance to be part of a family. Please call 208 339 0130 or email kjfam@dcdi.net for an application. I would love to put you in touch with her foster mom so she can tell you all about this sweet girl. (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This little guy has no idea why he came to the shelter. He tried so hard to be a good boy. He loves people, especially kids. He loves to play ball and any kind of squeaky toy is so fun. He is great on leash and great with kitties. Honestly Briggs wants to be everyone's friend. He's a happy go lucky little man. He is potty trained and very well behaved. Briggs is just 8 months old and he has already had two homes. No fault of his own because he's a sweetie. Ugh................. Well on to the next chapter of his life. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Meet Johnny! Johnny is 5 years young and is as loyal as they come! His loyalty is due to a perfect blend of chocolate lab and Newfoundland. As a puppy Johnny never received proper training and structure so his Newfy guarding tendencies were all askew causing him to 'subdue' strange dogs. Since he has been with his foster family he has learned to not have to act on that urge and to use it more productively, like enjoying being by your side. Last summer, Johnny had a total hip replacement due to an old injury. He is like new! Johnny is looking for a home that will keep up with his behavioral therapy until it is far behind him. He does great ... (Read More)with other dogs after a brief introduction. He seems to care less about cats. He will need to be leashed at all times when he is away from home until he proves himself with all other strange dogs. He is neutered and UTD on shots. (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Bosley is a 4 year old Border Collie/Black Lab mix. He is very loving with people. He thinks he's a lap dog. He has never bitten or even growled at a person. He's very energetic and in play mode 24/7 He is good with most animals. I've only ever seen him have a problem with other dogs sometimes. He is pretty food aggressive, but only with dogs. People can put their hands in his food while he's eating and he's completely fine. Also he does growl at other dogs sometimes when they try take away a toy he's playing with, but nothing more. Other times he wants to play tug a war with other dogs. So I don't know if he's just moody with other dogs or ... (Read More)what. He is potty trained for the most part. Very seldom does he pee in the house, and he's only pooped once in the house for the 3 years I've had him. He loves to run and play fetch, so a big yard is a must. I am no longer able to keep him due to drastic changes in my life that happened all at once. (Less)
