Meet Gabby! Gabby is a 1 year old 'Pocket Pitbull' mix as she Weighs in at only 40 lbs. She loves everyone she meets, loves walks, jogging, and car rides. Gabby also loves to snuggle and is happy to lay beside you. She is great with both big and small dogs but is reactive to cats so a cat free home is best. She also plays well by herself throwing her toys up in the air and being silly. She is potty trained and crate trained but is not destructive if left home alone with toys. Gabby is up to date on her vaccinations and spayed. Please ask to meet Gabby!

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-07-00155Coors (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Look at that face! Coors is a handsome 10 month old Hound/Lab mix who has spent the past week in a foster home and is now ready for a forever home. Neutered, vaccinated, good with dogs and cats, Coors would make a most welcome addition to your family. Foster mom Laura says, 'In the little time we had him, we came to find out he's a great boy with lots of puppy energy. His new owners will need to take him through obedience classes. If they want to train him themselves, they'll need lots of patience because I doubt that he had any training or any social interaction with his previous owners. But he is a fast learner! We taught him to sit and ... (Read More)sort of stay (a few seconds). His leash manners need some serious work. He loves to pull. As for socialization, he does good with big/small dogs. He does like to be the alpha so he could have some issues with bigger dogs who are also alphas. Coors does good with cats as well. He loves to play with them and will chase them but does not want to hurt them. Once he gets in his kennel, he barks for about 5-10 minutes and then settles down and keeps his kennel clean all night! The entire time we had him in our house he did not have an accident! I believe that he'll need an active family that will make him a part of theirs and will give him lots of exercise and love. He is such a great boy and will find a loving home. He got a rough start in the beginning but things will change for the better for him.' *Please contact the rescue for Coors' adoption fee. (Less)

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament

We are rehoming our black lab mix. His name is Chewy, he is 11 months old. He is fixed and up to date on his shots. He is crate trained and mostly house broken. He is great with other dogs. He is a little rambunctious but good with kids. He gets bored and barks when we are not home. We just received a noise complaint. We live next to a walking path so Chewy is constantly alerting us to 'intruders' which is fine when we are home because he can come in. Unfortunately I am in school during the day and leaving him in his crate all day is not an option. There is no rehoming fee. We just want to make sure he finds a good home.

Must find a good home for my daughters 2 year old black lab cross. Very loyal and loving dog with people, but does not get along with other animals. Has not been around kids, so we do nor know her twmperment with them, but would not recomend due to aggresiveness toward small dogs. She must go to a home where she will be the only animal!

Hi my name is Meeko! I LOVE my people and will be the best companion that you could ask for! I know how to sit, stay, shake, and roll over. I have a lot of energy and would love to be on a farm or someplace with a lot of area to run. I love giving kisses and will cuddle with you for hours if you allow me to. I would like to be the only dog in the house because I like a lot of attention. I will need my master to spend some more time training me, but I learn quickly! My current owners don't have the space for me to run and I have a lot of energy! They would love for me to find a new home that will have as much love for me as they did. Please ...     You need to meet this girl to find out what a sweetie she is. Yep she came in just a bit wound up. :) She is calming down and minds very well. She is full of it for sure but she is loving life. She loves to play ball and she's crazy about her best buddy Blaze. They wait by each others door when it's play time and then tear around the field, tails wagging. Life is good. Sye needs an active family. She needs lots of exercise and friends. She knows how to use a doggie door and we are working on potty training. She's not perfect but she's doing very well. Sye really enjoys a car ride. She watches out the window for a bit but ... (Read More)then lays down and snoozes most of the way. Sye is a Chocolate Lab/ Retriever cross. She is spayed, up on vaccinations and micro chipped. Sye is about 18 months old and finally has a chance for the life she deserves. Sye loves kids but would be best with older children. She tries hard to remember not to jump. She just gets so darn excited when she sees someone to play with. Please call Lorrie 208 339 0130 or email kjfam@dcdi.net for an application. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Idaho
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Idaho Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
