Lab Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

My name is Morris, possibly a lab/flat coated retriever/aussie mix. Mom is lab, dad looks like a flat coated, but he was born with a bobbed tail. I'm the smallest of my brothers, 11 weeks old, and 21 lbs. Full grown, I might weigh in around 70 lbs. I have been cautious to what's going on around me, but recently I have become braver. I am playful, bring my toys to you and bark with excitement when others are having fun, wanting to join in. Sometimes I like to cuddle on a lap. Leash training is going very well, and I even like to help walk my brothers! After not being a fan of the crate, being separate from my brothers, I am doing better ... (Read More)gaining my independence. Housebreaking is going very well, as long as you remember to let me out. Someone should be home with me much of the day to continue my training and socialization. My foster mom says I need a strong leader, with previous puppy experience, that can keep up with my energy level.     *MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Howdy! Are you looking for an active, playful, fun dude to be your new sidekick for a lifetime of fun adventures? My name is Bowser, and I am a handsome 10-month-old Labrador who is looking for a forever family through Fetching Tails Foundation. I weigh about 55 pounds, and have luxurious, soft midnight black fur. And isn't my smile super cute? I know it isn't polite to brag, but if I am being honest I have to say my stunning good looks match my amazing, happy-go-lucky personality! Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from a ... (Read More)shelter in Southern Illinois, where my previous owners dropped me off because they didn't want me anymore. I am so happy my foster parents from Fetching Tails saved me because I am having an absolute blast in their home! I hope my forever home is as much fun: I get to run around and explore their fenced yard, and play with SO many toys! I love toys, and hope my forever family will spoil me with an endless supply. I am gentle and polite with my favorites (every single toy is my favorite!); I don't chew them up or destroy them, but I love to toss them in the air so I can catch them, run around with them in my mouth, and have even learned to play fetch with my humans! Since I love to play running games like fetch and zoomies, I really think my ideal forever home would have a fenced yard for me to enjoy. Have I convinced you yet that I am a fun-loving boy? I even get along with other doggies and love to play with them, too, so if you have a furry friend who is looking for a playmate, I could be the perfect candidate. And I love all humans! What can I say, I am a friendly, outgoing boy and I love to be the life of the party! For a young dog, I have pretty excellent manners, too! I am potty trained and also crate trained; I sleep in mine comfortably all night with no complaints, and I even do well in it during the day when foster mommy has to take care of what she calls human business. I also know a few commands including sit, lay down, and no. I am a very smart doggie and I aim to please my people, so I am very receptive to new commands. I could use some more practice to improve my skills with walking on a leash; I LOVE to go for walkies and get so excited when foster mommy or daddy grab my leash, but on walks I am strong and can pull a bit because I am so excited to explore the world. So maybe that is something we can work on together? Fetching Tails encourages all adopters to attend training classes with their new pups, and I think that sounds like such a fun time! We could work on my leash skills, see how many more fun tricks and commands I can learn, and bond with each other! There is always something new for everyone to learn, dogs and humans alike! And I am treat motivated, too: just show me a piece of cheese and I think we will be the class valedictorians for sure! So what are you waiting for? I bet you are in love with me already. If you think a fun-loving, active, happy big lovebug sounds like the right dog for you, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon and tell them Bowser is the boy for you! I can't wait to start all our fun adventures together! XOXO, Bowser If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us!     Meet Bean! Lab Mix Bean is a 3-month-old Lab mix currently weighing just 8 pounds. Bean is a little guy who can play with the big boys and still hold his own. He is vocal when playing with other dogs as he attempts to order them around. His foster family is guessing there may be some terrier in him. Bean is content sleeping near you when there is quiet time during the day and prefers being an arms reach away rather than snuggling up. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night with his crate covered. Bean is just at the end of his potty training journey. He walks nicely on his leash and is happy meeting new people and pets on his way. His tiny tail goes a million miles an hour. Bean is currently living with young kids.     This handsome boy was in a very high kill animal shelter and was going to be put down due to space. His family who had him left him there to die because he wouldn't stay home. He could jump a 4 foot fence, he no longer does here. They said he was 2 years old, he is now 4 years old, sadly he has been stuck for 2 years waiting for a home. He is black with a gray muzzle, and built like a husky, moves and acts like a husky and can yodel, but has semi floppy ears, weighs about 55 pounds. He was very skinny when we first rescued him. He is sweet, bold, and fine with most dogs, even small dogs. He loves attention once he know you but until then ... (Read More)is very indifferent and unsure. He has a more independent personality. He's a very mellow boy. Crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Current or recent past vet clinics number, and contract is required to adopt.     Are you an athletic person who loves a nice solid outgoing dog? Tide is a very handsome boy, weighs about 70 pounds, about 1 year old, heartworm negative and current on all shots and health care. He is a very solid, fun loving, energetic dog who can wear out any dog here playing, except a pit mix we had who is also higher energy. At the same time when crated he is perfectly well behaved, quiet and calm. He loves to sniff about and seems to have potential for a search and rescue dog or something to use his skills to advantage. Plus he is a very confident dog and loves to hop in the car, or go anywhere you want to go which would be perfect for ... (Read More)a working dog. He is crate trained, never potties in the crate or kennel. He was rescued from a very high kill shelter in AL, where many dogs never make it out. I seen his face and just didnt want him cut short when hes still a pup with SO much potential! He will need exercise to be a good dog, either playing with another dog (med or large he loves to rough house with them!) or jogging, agility, tagging along a bike. This dog is athletic and needs an active family, no couch potatoe here (although after play time I am sure he would love couch time!!) He knows sit and he loves attention. His favorite thing other then playing is to flop over on his back so you can rub his belly! He wants to meet anyone who has visited and so many people have been very impressed with how handsome he is, but they were wanting a small dog. I havent worked with him much at all but he does learn fast! Please email for more photos he is solid built and acts very much like a lab! Contract and vet reference required to adopt. A friend has sponsored half of his adoption fee of $200. to help him find a great forever home! (Less)
