Rescue Me ID: 18-06-25-00043Charlotte (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Charlotte! She is a very happy go lucky 1 year old petite lab/terrier mix who weighs in at around 35 lbs. We are not sure what happened to her, but she is missing half of her back rear leg. It may have been caught in a trap or amputated at some point. No matter why it happened, you would never know she doesn't have 4 legs! She runs around with the big dogs and can keep up with the best of them! She is crate trained and house trained. She is great with other dogs but we are unsure how she is with cats. She loves to snuggle on the couch with her humans. Charlotte is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots and heartworm meds. Her ... (Read More)adoption fee is $250.00. Rescue Me ID: 18-06-24-00269Dutch (male)

Lab    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Dutch is up to date on shots, micro-chipped, housebroken and a purebred SILVER lab. Dutch is shy around strangers. He can be dominate over other dogs by barking. He may growl but has never bitten a human or another animal. We feed him in a separate room as he will growl if anyone gets near him besides my wife or myself. He will be an awesome addition to a family that has older kids (I'm just not sure about little kids?) and if he is a single dog. In that situation he would be king, he's never had the opportunity to be an only dog. Dutch has been raised in a rural setting, only been on a leash a couple of times and has never been chained or ... (Read More)behind a fence. He's never been alone in a cage, if we leave he is with 2 other labs. Dutch is neutered, chipped, a purebred up to date on shots and loves to be with HIS people. Reread this and if your family meets his needs you won't be disappointed. We are only giving him up due to a grandchild arriving in a couple of months and have concerns how Dutch may react. (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Bryan' here is a new arrival He appears to be the cross between a Lab and a Shepherd. Like a Lab, he has an athletic build and is a friendly guy. Like a shepherd, he has some independence in his personality and his muzzle certainly looks Shepherd. Bryan will make a great dog for someone who is wiling to invest some training. We get the impression nobody really paid a lot of attention to this boy in the first part of his life :/ It is like he wants to belong but is not quite sure how just yet. He is a kind dog - but you can tell is used to doing his own thing. Bryan is crate trained and has not had any accidents in his foster's home so ... My mom got shelby as a puppy and because of her age and health problems she cannot handle a dog of her size.she needs to be placed as soon as possible because with moving to the city of warren we have a neighbor that is constantly calling animal control because of the amount of pets that we have, with shelby we have 4 dogs and only 3 are allowed.

Hello my name is Jet. I'm a chocolate lab mix in need of a forever family. I love other animals and kids. I am a little scared at first, but I warm up quickly. I love playing in the yard, going for walks, and giving and getting kisses. I am fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. I am very curious, so I should probably have a fenced area to play in.     Babygirl, the senior Lab mix was adopted back in October of 2017, but unfortunately it wasn't working out and just wasn't meant to be her forever home. She is now back up for adoption and in search of a forever home to call her own! She is spayed and is completely UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. This sweet and loving girl doesn't act like a senior, so don't let her grey hair fool you! Babygirl loves every human she meets, but being older she would love a quiet environment to live out the rest of her senior years in. She's completely housebroke/crate trained, and does great with the other dogs but would prefer to be the center of your ... (Read More)attention as the only canine! We're not sure how she is with cats, but that can be tested. We know she'll make a wonderful companion for someone, and still has many years of love to give! Streethearts Animal Rescue always tries to find a lost dog's owner during their stray hold & for some time after during their vetting process before placing a dog up for adoption. Most all dogs that are in this rescue are found lost, running or abandoned are not microchipped or spay/neutered (vaccine status is always unknown). They are very often in poor health, emaciated, injured or Heartworm positive when they are rescued. Usually, more often than not, the owner is not found which we sometimes see as a blessing to the dog that obviously was not well taken care of. We sometimes have dogs that are surrendered to us. Streethearts Animal Rescue always strives to find the very best homes for our rescue dogs, fitting them to the right potential new owner. We take care of all their vetting & medical needs prior to being available for adoption. The breed we post is most often pure speculation from the dog's appearance & could not be truly identified with accuracy without a DNA test. We operate from donations only & always welcome any financial help anyone can offer to assist with the care of these misplaced dogs needs. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is Dolly & she is truly a little Doll! She is estimated to between 2-3 yrs old & she weighs 38 lbs. We believe that she may be a Patterdale Terrier mix. We chose the breed mix that we did on this site because it forces you to choose something & the Patterdale was not a choice. She loves her person & is very affectionate & loyal. Dolly had a mild case of Heartworm disease when she was rescued from the street & has gone through her treatment. She is now cleared of the disease, Heartworm negative & very healthy. Dolly would require a meet with any dogs in a potential adopter's household. At this time, we say that she should not go to a ... (Read More)household with cats. Dolly knows her basic commands, is learning good leash manners, crate trained, up to date on all vaccines, spayed & microchipped. Dolly is ready for her Forever Home. Will you be her person/family? PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Michigan
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.
