Rescue Me ID: 18-03-20-00345Yeager (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Yeager was born 7/26/2011. He was brought to us a year later from a family who had an aggressive older dog. He is easily excitable and loves to play. We believe Yeager thinks he is small dog, as he likes to jump, but will listen when you tell him no. He loves to talk (he is a howler). He is a bit skittish sometimes if he hears sudden or loud noises and he doesn't like the vacuum cleaner. We have never tried to crate train Yeager. We have also never left him in the home by himself (or with our other dog), so we are not sure how he will behave - I do warn you he is very inquisitive. He is use to having access to a cool space (like a ... (Read More)garage) and the backyard during the day when we are not home. If you have an apartment or a home with no yard, it may not work well to adopt her. He is up to date on all of his immunizations. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-20-00340Grace (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed

Grace was born 7/29/2006. She was adopted in 8/2008. She loves getting cuddles and rubs. She enjoys being around people but likes it quiet. If it is too noisy she just goes to a quiet place and relaxes. Grace can be aggressive towards other dogs just because she is alpha female, she is good with submissive dogs. She never misses a meal and will often remind you that it is her meal time. She hates being locked out (if we are home) and doesn't like the vacuum cleaner. For her age, she gets around well but she is starting to slow down. She doesn't like to be crated (she will escape), she is not good left on her own in the home. She is ... If you have an apartment or a home with no yard, it may not work well to adopt her. She is up to date on all her immunizations. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Nevada
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Nevada Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
