Brock is a happy boy now that he doesn't have to live on a chain anymore. He is a 50 pound lab mix and is quickly learning to love the comforts of the indoors. Brock walks nicely on a leash. He is a little eager to meet people and may jump, but as he is having more attention and exercise, this behavior is improving, as he is a smart boy. Brock loves to go for short bike rides and knew just to trot alongside the bike right away. He would be a good companion for someone that is active and wants a companion for hiking or outings. He is around 1 1/2 years old. Please ... (Read More)inquire about Brock for a devoted friend. Contact Trish 505-907-3791 or email pacatrish@yahoo.com (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello. I see that you sometimes help rehome animals and I was hoping you could help me do the same. I have an approximately 5 to 6-year-old male who needs to be in a home without children. He's a lab and rescue we've had him for about three years and recently he's being aggressive with my 10-month-old daughter. I took him to the vet and they said it was basically behavioral. I contacted a dog trainer about it but they have not got back to me. We've been looking for about two weeks try and find him a new home but haven't had much interest in the area. He's a very sweet boy, he just needs to be someplace without kids. He gets along with ... (Read More)other animals. We take him on 2-4?mile walks every day, he goes hiking, sleeps in our bed /our couches etc. He's up-to-date on his shots, kennel trained. he would do really well on a farm or someplace where he could roam. I've had a couple people come look at him, however, all of them have children. ..Even though I specifically said a home without children. i've been keeping them separate from my daughter for about 10 days and it seems to be going OK but it's not a permanent solution. If you could help at all I would appreciate this. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-06-00174Christine (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Vaccinations Current

Christine was found starving and full of milk without her babies by a kind lady driving across country from California to Florida. Her babies were no where to be found. She picked her up and kept her overnight in a motel room. She did very well over night. She didn't mess in the room and got along with her dogs fine. She was very hungry, though, and was looking everywhere for food. She rode very well in the car but didn't quite understand getting in and out of the car so had to be lifted. She seems to get along fine with dogs smaller than her but maybe not dogs larger than her. She is very sweet and loving with people. She passed her ... (Read More)behavioral test at the shelter and is just looking for a forever home where she doesn't have to scrounge for her next meal. The lady who found her just raved about how wonderful she is. She does walk on a leash just fine. Contact Trish at 505-907-3791, email pacatrish@yahoo.com or contact Albuquerque Animal Welfare at 768-2000 and inquire about impound number A1735030 (Less)

He had a rubber band wound around his tail and unfortunantly it had not fallen off. He was suffering from a sever infection and needed the tail amputated. Well after the surgery this boy is doing well. He needs to be neutered and we plan to get that done Febuary 20th. He will also finish up on the shots then as well. Please consider giving this gentle giant a home.

Leila came from the Gallup Shelter. Her mom gave birth by C-section, but due to unforeseen problems she passed away during surgery. Leila and her siblings have been hand raised since then. She has an awesome personality and is a very loving pup. Would thrive in a home where she can have a kid to play with or an active family. She can be calm but also has enough energy to play. Has been in a foster home with children and other dogs and done great. Probably could be introduced to cats and have no problems but has not been introduced to one at her current foster home.

Rescue Me ID: 15-10-06-00273DuPont (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

DuPont was found running down the street. Her owner was found but they gave her up due to poor housing issues, they basically have no where to keep her so she roams the neighborhood. She is a beautiful dog, she looks like a lab-heeler mix, all black with some oreo blizzard patterning on her paws, belly, and an adorable M on her forehead. She is currently being kept by the people who found her but they cannot keep her much longer as they have quite a few animals. They say she is a joy, a happy go lucky dog with only love and energy to give. She likes to lick your fingers as you walk by. She was originally from a junk yard and gets excited ... (Read More)when people are around. She does jump up a little but is corrected quickly. She has also learned to sit and is in the process of learning to stay and heel. She is about 50 pounds and maybe a little lighter. She's very cute. Her current foster home hopes she can find a home that can give her the dedication and love she deserves. Would that be you? Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This happy, glad to meet you, sweet boy needs a new home since his owners fell upon hard financial times. Doc is a real tail-wagger whenever someone glances his way. He gets along with children and dogs. Doc walks nicely on a leash and knows his basic obedience commands. He likes morning strolls, then he likes to play some in the yard and get some belly rubs. Doc is about 6 years old and weighs around 25-30 lbs. He looks like he has some beagle in him, but his fur resembles a labrador - thick and soft. He adores his people and would love to give a family some canine companionship. Doc would also like to go to a home with dogs, he loves to ... (Read More)play. Doc has a lot of love to give.     Sandy is happy go lucky. He is about 1 year old. He is full of playful energy and is very affectionate. He is a people pleaser. He tends to jump up but his foster parents are working on that and he could use some obedience training. Because of his rambunctiousness he may be not a good choice for a household with young toddlers. He likes other dogs but does need an introduction. He is crate trained. And one of his favorite things is to get a bath. Contact Trish at 505-907-3791 or email pacatrish@yahoo.com
