Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Tory is a very energetic and friendly dog. She is a very perceptive and quick learner - she is eager to please. She needs a home where she can get a lot of activity and exercise. She would do best in a home with no other dogs, but she could do okay with a very mellow dog. She was fostered in a home with 3 children between the ages of 8 - 13, and from that experience she seems to do well with children. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

BENTLEY IS a wonderful dog, exceptionally sweet and willing. He does have quite a bit of energy having come from months of being kenneled , but he seems to be relaxing a lot now that he gets to run around all the time. This dog will make a fine companion for an active family or individual. He is happy go lucky, gets along with the other dogs great, and he is relaxed around the cats too. Everything we do with Bentley comes easy so we know he will train very quickly. He is not a real big guy so the mastiff is just a guess, he weighs in at about 65 lbs. Exercise will be a must and another dog for a companion will be a bonus. His adoption fee is ... (Read More)$110.00and that includes his neuter, shots and a microchip. This is a great dog. (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

This is Kona. He is about 7 years old. He has a ton of love to give, but our living situation has changed and we can no longer keep him. He loves to go on hikes and has a lot of energy to burn. He is completely house trained and doesn't have any accidents. He used a doggy door in the past and can be trained to do it again. Also only chews his toys and won't rip anything in the house up. He can get a little rough while playing, thats why we put he's not good with kids. When meeting a new dog he can get aggressive, but has lived with multiple dogs over the years and hasn't had any problems. It breaks my heart to give him up, but he deserves to ... Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Marley is a very kind loyal puppy. She loves attention and loves kids as well as adults! She is great with other animals. She listens well and won't bark at the mail man when he passes by! She loves cuddles and giving kisses. She thinks she's a lap dog. The reason for giving her away is that my boyfriend an I are both 19 and work full time so there is no time for giving her the attention she deserves.

Hazel is a sweet girl who was found two days ago, outdoors at a local post office. She has pretty severe burns on her paws due to walking on the hot ground. They are healing nicely now. She is underweight but has a healthy appetite. She is very loyal and loving, and definitely full of energy! Very smart girl from what I have seen so far!

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Byron may look big and intimidating but don't let him fool you! He is very friendly with new people, including children. He gets along with other dogs, but he is dominate and wouldn't do well with another dominate male. He is NOT good with cats or other small animals. Byron is a very smart dog who learns quickly and remembers things once he's learned them. He would make an excellent jogging or hiking companion. Transport can be arranged in most of the four corners area and into Colorado.

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-11-00133Carbon (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Carbon Is a 1 year old lab mix. He is neutered. He is house broken, and crate trained. Does very well on a leash, and pretty obedient. He has gone through doggy training and is very eager to learn and listen. It breaks my heart listing him. He has been a great dog with typical lab personality. He's just too smart for his own good. Carbon's learned how to escape the yard. He's an indoor dog, but goes out often with our doberman, and we just can't keep him in. We've tried tying him up (he broke his collars and cords), we tried the electric fencing (it didn't even phase him), we've tried positive reinforcement and tried bribing him to stay with ... (Read More)new toys (it was a no go). A dog run isn't an option because we rent, neither is a taller fence. And he keeps jumping into other people's yards where he was actually attacked by another dog. My biggest fear is that he will get hit by a vehicle or seriously hurt by another dog. He needs a good yard with a big fence to live in, and we can't keep paying the fines from animal control. He really is an awesome dog. We take him hunting, camping, and to bow shoots year round, and he is nothing but a sweet puppy. He is shy when meeting new people and dogs at first, and does bark, but with a little reassurance, he's fine. He deserves a great home. I promise he will fit right in to your family. (Less)

Hi. My name's Mali. I'm a 2 %BD year old good natured, playful, affectionate female Pit-Lab looking for a forever home with a stable and loving environment. I like to play with well-mannered, dog friendly kids at least 10 or older and with other dogs. I am eager to fit in and please my human companions. When the 10-year-old neighbor comes to play, our 'moms' sit out on the patio laughing at our antics. Did I mention that I'm spayed, chipped and have all my shots?

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in New Mexico
Lab Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost New Mexico Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs.
