Meet Ginger!! A very sweet loveable girl!! She is 1 year old. She loves to go for walks on her harness. She will pull, though, if she sees other animals (rabbits, etc.). She gets along well with a little female terrier in the household but has not really been around other dogs. She is playful. She is a medium sized dog around 50-60 lbs. She is 1/2 chocolate lab and 1/2 pitbull. She is not a barker unless someone is around. She doesn't jump up and hasn't tried to get out of the yard with a low fence. She is a house dog. Her owner recently got her from someone else that had to give her up as they were moving. Her new owner has to find a home ... (Read More)as she is not good with cats, they have 5.     NOVA is a laborador/Golden retriever/cattle dog mix (DNA test confirmed), approx. 2.5 years old, 70 lb. spayed female. She is up to date on all of her vaccines, is microchipped, and has graduated from Petsmart's beginner training class. She is great with kids and cats, but she needs to be the only dog, as she gets jealous easily and this is causing problems for her. She is a great dog for someone who likes to hike or be outdoors, and she loves to be with her family no matter what they are up to. She is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle, either on the couch or at your feet (she is very much a velcro-dog). Her tennis ball is her favorite toy, ... (Read More)and she loves to run and play. Nova is house broken and crate trained. She would do best in a home that has a large fenced yard, but she does just fine indoors as long as she gets regular exercise. A home visit/meet and greet will be conducted to make sure she is going to a good home. References of any potential adopters will be requested and checked. On her own, she really is a fantastic, sweet dog and it breaks my heart to have to let her go! More photos available upon request, and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. We are in Tijeras, NM, but I would be willing to help transport her out of state, so long as she goes to a great home. Please text me if you are interested in meeting her. (Less)

Hello. My name is Abby. I'm a small Lab mix, 4 years old, and I am searching for someone to love me. I would do best in an adult-only home. I survived horrible conditions for a long time at a dog 'sanctuary' in Chaparral, NM that was closed in September 2013. I still have the scars and only half of a tail. Rescuers found me, gave me a warm bed and good food. I am currently living in a foster home with some other nice dogs. I am good with some dogs and walk well on leash with familiar people. I am still uncomfortable until I get to know you, so I need patience and understanding. I am already spayed and I have all my vaccinations. I love toys, ... Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Goldie is a happy go lucky, loving, kind hearted fun dog. She is 7 years old. She loves to walk. We had to put her buddy Leo down, they loved each other so much and played all the time. Her perfect home is with other active dogs on some land where she can run and roam. She is a lovely dog for adults and kids. She loves dogs and cats. She loves to sleep in the bed at night. If she had buddies I'm sure she would sleep on a dog bed with them. She slept with Leo on a big dog bed in the bedroom. She loves to cuddle and lick her dog buddies. She does snore sometimes. She is also a good guard dog, she'll bark if something is wrong. There is not ... (Read More)a bad bone in her body. Her right foot is curvy due to a deformity so she needs to take glucosamine supplements. She also eats crunch without corn, soy or wheat. She loves yogurt, apples, peanut butter and treats. She sits on command, comes to you and would love to do agility courses as long as there is a treat! I have her medical records. She is very healthy just needs some wide open spaces and more companions to run with. I'm recently divorced, my lifestyle has changed. I used to work at home and live on 2 acres. I'm now working full time and must live in the city renting. I feel really bad that I must give Goldie away I'm doing it for her well being she deserves it! She doesn't need suburbia or an apartment. She needs doggie companions and ability to run and take daily walks. She loves the car but needs a good walk before going on a trip. She's definitely a free spirit! A wonderful companion! I've got many calls from people that want her as a single dog. I'm only interested in placing her with other happy go lucky dogs. I have lots of wonderful pictures I can send you. We can make an appointment. If you love her then I would want to visit your home to make sure it's a great fit. I live in Santa Fe New Mexico. The adoption fee is $100 that includes her prescription glucosamine, up to date blood work, shots, bedding, food and toys. Thanks for viewing. (Less)

Elle and her brother, Cay, were dropped off at the local Circle K store. An alert clerk called us to come rescue them before they could get into trouble.     Turbo was found at a gas station in Shiprock, NM, with a group of dogs. They were all in pretty pitiful shape. A wonderful volunteer picked them all up and brought them to Albuquerque. They were all given baths and treated by the vet for various things including heartworm. They are all well now and all have gone to their permanent homes except for Turbo. He is still looking for his. He would prefer a home with another dog as he is used to doggie company. He weighs around 26 lbs. and is about 3-4 years old. Turbo is a great little guy!! PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in New Mexico
Lab Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs.
