Hi. My name is Bella. I'm 10+ years old, am a mixed breed that probably includes some lab, and I'm a very loving girl. I am all black with some pretty grey highlights, short haired, and I get along with most other dogs. I am learning to walk on a leash, I come when you call me, and I love to smile, wag, and get petted. I'm not very active and love sleeping in my bed. And my favorite parts of the day are breakfast and dinner time. The only thing I need is a family of my own. I've been living with other rescued dogs after I was saved from an abusive situation in Chaparral, NM, and am now waiting in a foster home If you have room in your ...     Hi. My name is Beau. I'm about 8-10 years old, am probably a mixed breed that includes some lab, and I'm a happy boy. I am all black (OK, so I'm getting pretty grey with age), short haired, and I get along with most other dogs. I am learning to walk on a leash, I come when you call me, and I love to smile, wag, and get petted. When I'm out of my kennel, I enjoy running and playing. I LOVE balls and squeaky toys! Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello. My name is Abby. I'm a small Lab mix, 2 years old, and I am searching for someone to love me. I survived horrible conditions for a long time at a dog 'sanctuary' in Chaparral, NM that was closed in September 2013. I still have the scars and only half of a tail. Rescuers found me, gave me a warm bed and good food. I am currently living in a foster home with some other nice dogs. I am good with other dogs and walk well on leash with familiar people. I am still uncomfortable until I get to know you, so I need patience and understanding. I am already spayed and I have all my vaccinations. I love toys, naps in a warm bed, and I sit nicely ...     This baby was born on 10/22 along with his 9 other siblings. They are a mixture of colors and sizes. Mom is about 30-35 lbs, smaller boned and slender built. Not sure what she is. She was found as a stray. He is good with kids and dogs. She has a very sweet disposition and has been a good mother. There could have been different daddies. They have been very well cared for by the nice family that took her in and decided to keep her through her pregnancy and birth. They wanted to take care of her and the pups instead of taking her to the pound. The pups are now weaned and eating puppy food and are ready to go to new homes. Sven is a ...     Sandy is happy go lucky. He is about 1 year old. He is full of playful energy and is very affectionate. He is a people pleaser.     Jackson is a sweet, loving little guy. He is nicely behaved and quite charming. He would be a great family pet and good with children. He gets along fine with other dogs. He requires a little TLC, but your care will be returned tenfold by grateful Jackson. You may notice his tongue hanging out in his pictures. He had a portion of his lower jaw removed due to a tumor several years ago (he is cancer free), so he needs a little extra time to eat and drink.     Lab Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost New Mexico Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. The Labrador Retriever is by far the most popular dog in the U.S. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs.
