As I have three small children and many kids constantly coming and going from my home this has been difficult for her. I have consulted with two trainers who both recommend that she be re-homed to a family with no/older kids and a calmer household. Molly is a loving sweet girl. She is a lab / hound mix we adopted as a puppy from the SPCA. She was 6 pounds when we got her. A few months later we got another puppy so they could keep each other company. It has been wonderful. They adored each other and hated to be apart for anything like grooming or vet apts. Yesterday she attacked the younger dog. She did it 2 times. I saw the second one and it scared me. I have 2 young boys and I am much to worried to have her around them if she can snap like that. He is a very large dog, he will be 3 yrs old next month and weighs 100lbs. He has epilepsy and has a seizure about once every 4 months. He takes phenobarbital, twice a day. A 90-day supply costs $60. (Read More) He has striking black ticking on his white coat. In terms of body shape, Laird is a huskier pup in size and has chunky legs, as compared with most of his siblings. We think he is mixed with fox terrier mix, but there's something else in the mix that accounts for his stubby legs - dachshund, maybe?? Really, there is no way for us to know. Cooper is a high energy lovable dog. He has attended obedience school and has come a long way with obedience. He will sit, stay, and lay down on command, but sometimes has a will of his own and won't listen. There are some areas where he still needs training. He sometimes jumps on people to play with them and sometimes grabs at people's clothes when he gets excited. He needs more training with regards to socialibility and knowing who is boss or'alpha'. Lab Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.
