Rescue Me ID: 17-11-15-00401Molly Mo (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Good golly Ms. Molly look at me. I am just a bit over 7 years old and my family has to move because of employment anc change of housing that can not accommodate my happy-go-lucky self; I want to run through the dry leaves of Autumn, snowflakes of Winter, daffodils of Spring and green grass of Summer. My family leaving has left me melancholy and anxious. I am a loving devoted girl looking for a home with another dog to romp with, children to brush me and a nice warm bed in my new home. You don't know it - but I really am a people. Yup, that is right! I am not a loner- I am a people person-dog. I will not hurt a kitty, but they are really fun ... (Read More)to chase so I may not be the best for a kitty. I really want to run, as I have packed on a few extra pounds. I may have a seizure once in a while- usually twice a year, a week apart. When it happens, you need to just hug and hold me to reassure me I am safe. The vet in the past never did say why this happens to me. It has been 9 months and I have been good. If I could use your powder room to do my business I would. But I have been trained to go outside. Please tell my guardian all about you and how you will make me happy and be able to care for my needs for the rest of my life. She has a long long long list of requirements below. But it is for my own good, she says. There is a rehoming fee for me. Because I am worth it. She can tell you about that later. From my guardian: There are some who do not like the following criteria; I am not sorry- as it is my prerogative to set the parameters of this placement. Most people who are interested have no problem. But, it you are one of the few that take offense-, Go no further. Please tell me about you, your family, other pets, yard, own or rent; your expectations of your new pooch, what pooch can expect from you! Please provide this information and city in which you live with contact phone number. This is not a first come first serve placement. The objective is to find the perfect home for pooch and family. If you do not provide requested information- please do not expect a reply to your inquiry. Please provide your email to which I can respond and phone number for serious inquiries. Be prepared to provide photos of your immediate fenced yard or your intentions if not fenced- and of your family living room area with a selfie. Many of the dogs that come to me are placed in foster and I am entrusted to find the best homes. There is a reasonable fee to cover foster care and medical and sometimes to pay forward to other dogs in need of extra. I take the placement of dogs under my charge very seriously- so please only inquire if interested. Your first question should not be 'how much'- it should be, 'what can I offer to ensure a happy forever life'. (Less)

I'm Astro a presumed lab pit mix and I'm looking to join a new family! I'm about 2 years old and medium in size. I'm very affectionate with my people and am a loyal protector. I am experienced living with cats and am good with most other dogs I meet. I won't do so well in a very busy household with people coming and going all the time, since I take my job as protector seriously. But, if you introduce me to your friends, I can let them into my inner circle, too and show them how affectionate I can be Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter, 1420 Brookside Blvd. 1.5 miles off I-5. in Merlin. Please, if you email an inquiry, please understand that these animals are in the shelter for a variety of reasons: Their lives are upside down maybe because owner died, they got lost, were abandoned, owner lost home or had a life event that left their pet in need of a new home. But they need homes and families who will bring them back to knowing what family is! Puppies: Please understand they are puppies; not potty trained; not good or bad with kids, dogs, cats. They are pliable puppies ready for you to imprint good manners, social skills, and training. You are encouraged to follow up with training after they are finished with shot series and or at the direction of your veterinarian. A happy healthy well socialized puppy is a happy family! I'm a Lab at only about 1 year old (maybe younger) and weigh 58lbs. I'm just about as happy go lucky as it gets in the dog world. I just want to be friends with everyone! As wiggly as my butt is and as excited I get around people, I still have pretty good manners. No shyness over here, just a spunky pup hoping to join a new family! Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Temperament
Health: Incontinent

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Kane is THE sweetest dog I have ever met. He is a 1 year old mutt. He weighs a tad over 20 lbs. He is partially paralyzed in his back legs. He can use them for a short period of time, but mostly drags them around. Because of his lack of control, he often has accidents in the house. He is on a hottie schedule, so if you work from home, or are home a lot, his accidents are manageable. He loves people, dogs, kitties. He would do best in a home with hardwood floors, and a grassy back yard. He is super active and loves to play. He has wheels, but does not like them at all. He is a special dog for a special person.

craigslist - Map data OpenStreetMap 2724 SE Cora St (google map) It is with very mixed emotions that we are looking to find a better home for our recently rescued 1 year old lab/border collie mix, Tsillah (sigh law). We rescued her from the Oregon Humane Society and they warned that she has socialization issues with other dogs but we have realized we're not in a place to accommodate her needs. She is a total lover, extremely smart and very playful, but also very high energy and then has trauma from her past life (we don't know the circumstances other than she was shipped up from Fresno, CA). The trauma causes her to flip out in a mix ... (Read More)of play and defense with ANY dog within her sight. She looks a bit like a tasmanian devil when we go on walks because of her behavior and when she confronts a dog, she doesn't understand the pecking order or have manners and will often instigate a fight. We do believe she has the potential to be trained and would also be an amazing dog out on a farm - she instinctively 'herds' us and has learned several tricks very quickly. She would also be a great agility or frisbee competitor as she can LEAP! It's heartbreaking to let her go but we've invested thousands at this point and don't feel we're the right fit for her. She has had all her vaccinations, microchip and she comes with a collapsable crate, leash, harness, and toys. We are asking for a re-homing donation of $200 and will require a transparent review of her new living situations in order for us to accept your adoption. We hope the perfect new home is out there for this sweet pup!! (Less)

Think you know what an older dog like me can and can't do? Well think again! Though I have been judged as being approx. 8-9 years old, that hasn't stopped me. My foster angel can tell you that I am still very athletic. I LOVE a good hike, I can soar over a cattle guard, and I can also scale a 5ft gate. I am pretty sure I can keep up with you. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Do you see these big brown loving eyes? All the better for getting what I want; be it hugs, kisses, walks, treats.... You won't be able to resist!!! My name is Chloe and I am looking to make eyes at my forever person/people. If the eyes don't get you rushing to find out about me, how about my tricks?? I know how to sit beautifully, I also know how to give a 'hi-five'. Oh, and though walking on a leash isn't a trick - when you walk with impeccable manners like me - it really is like magic! I am a pretty calm girl, but if you want to play or hike or go for a run, I'm down with that. If you want to lounge around and nap, that's cool with ... (Read More)me I just love being with you! I get along great with other dogs, so a little buddy would be good, but it's not needed. I will be happy with just my family. Better hurry though - these eyes, the tricks..... I'm going to be snatched up quick I hope :) (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

May is a quiet, sweet girl. She initially seems to like men best but definitely warms up to ladies after a week or so. She will take a couple of weeks to feel secure and comfortable but once she lets her guard down, she becomes a very playful, funny dog. She's good with other dogs with proper intro, does keep to herself at different parts of the day but also loves playing with her foster sisters. Is good on the lead, just need to be wary of other dogs running up to her. She loves sleeping under the doggy duvet at night. She also knows the sit and shake hands commands and would be easily trainable on others. We really think May is special and ... (Read More)want to see her find a home! Here is her back story. May was set to die at Ramona Humane Society when one of our great friends and supporters contacted us with a potential foster to save her. We are so glad we could help. Look at that face! Here's her info from the shelter. We will update as we learn more from her foster. 'May' - Lab/Shepherd female Mix (looks like some bully in there also) This very pretty gal came to us as a stray so we estimate her age to be 2 years old, she weighs 51.9 lbs. May is very sweet, curious, loves to be out in our exercise yard! Runs around with glee when she's out there. She is beautiful. Cute, cute dog! Has the cutest, kissable face! May is up to date on shots, de-wormed, house-broken, spayed, and chipped. Currently in foster in California, but can be adopted in Oregon or Washington as well. Rescue Me ID: 17-06-14-00472ADOPT Danny (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Danny loves the water and he is good with other dogs, kids and has lived with cats as well (he does seem like he might chase them when they run). He is mostly house-trained, but is not a big fan of a crate at this point however he is crate-trained. He weighs in at 62 pounds (end of August) and is tall and lanky AND still growing. Danny is fixed, chipped and up to date on his vaccines. He was found with his litter-mates and mother dumped in a field. They were born late January 2017. Danny's mom is a gorgeous black shepherd with a lot of energy. We are guessing dad was a lab or possibly a bully mix but his foster says Great Dane cause he's a ... (Read More)big boy. Danny has some separation anxiety that results in whining/barking which we're working on at present. He would do best in a home where someone is always home or home most of the time and with a dog that is patient as he is a big baby and doesn't watch out where he walks or sits. Linus (also up for adoption) has helped him tremendously with his SA and they seem to adore each other. Linus also had SA and worked his way out of it, so it's possible with time and training and self confidence building, Danny could get past the SA. Danny is gentle and tends to adjust his energy to his environment. He is great on the leash, has met a couple horses and seen our ducks without much reaction. He would consider chasing a cat but he seems to want to play with the animals he meets. He adores his humans so he would likely make a great ESA dog and he's smart and a fast learner so service work could be a potential but he hasn't been formally assessed. Danny is available for adoption in Oregon or Washington. Apply to adopt him here: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/aW71a6N2i7IVxuGAMdKQ13n (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-14-00442ADOPT LENA (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lena is approximately 10 months old. She was found with her litter-mates and mother dumped in a field. The family went to the shelter and we rescued them from there. Lena's mom is a gorgeous black shepherd with a lot of energy. We are guessing dad was a lab or possibly a bully mix. Per her foster: Lena is a very lovable puppy with a great temperament. She loves the water and loves to play. She is great with all dogs that I've introduced her to so far (including our own) and is good with our cat too. Since being at our house, she has gotten much better about her crate. She sleeps in it all night, with no problems and is getting better and ... (Read More)better when in the crate during the day for short times. She is learning manners quickly and is GREAT on a leash. She is so sweet and just wants some love and attention but also needs boundaries because she is in the 'puppy' stage. She now sits before being fed her breakfast/dinner and waits until we say OK to eat. She is a fast learner and sweet as can be. Only negative - she is def in the puppy stage of chewing, getting into stuff etc... She needs an adopter that will give her exercise and attention and things to work her mind. She likes learning and is food motivated. She could be a great ESA or service dog since she is great with dogs and cats and kids and super smart. She is available for adoption in Oregon or Washington. Apply to adopt her here: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/aW71a6N2i7IVxuGAMdKQ13n (Less)

Stella is such a great puppy. Momma is a lab mix and daddy is unknown, but possibly some sort of hound mix. She is about 11 months old, spayed, chipped and UTD on her shots. She is great with kids, dogs, but plays rough with cats, so probably would do best in a house without kitties. She is okay with car rides. She is mostly house-trained and crate-trained.     My name is SUKI. I am young, energetic and particularly cute. I need to find a special person who will foster or adopt me, as I cannot stay at the municipal shelter much longer. I have a tendency to protect my family, so a household which is very busy with people coming and going may be overwhelming for me. I can relax and be calm in a quieter environment. Best if only pet. I have had some training and I enjoy the challenge of learning new behaviors, since I am a smart dog. I am extremely loyal and affectionate . . . can someone please help me to make a fresh start? https://youtu.be/mgSiKhZ4UsE

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Oregon
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Oregon Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. The Labrador Retriever is by far the most popular dog in the U.S. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
