Hazel eyed Hazel is an approximately 5 month old yellow lab and all about being puppy. Has started learning commands and at first is a bit shy- but warms and bonds quickly; she is young enough to mesh right in to a family; encourage classes at Petsmart or else- to reinforce her newly learned skills. She is still a bit shy of new dogs and cats are probably not a good idea as she thinks they are toys. Very sweet girl, travels well in the car. This is not a shelter dog. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-14-00767Apollo (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I'm looking to rehome my male dog Apollo. I rescued him when he was 1 and have been with him for the past 2-1/2 years. I'm moving to San Francisco at the end of June after graduation. I wouldn't be looking for a new home if I could take him with me, but unfortunately there is no way I'll be able to do that. Here's a little bit about Apollo: Apollo needs daily exercise, he's a very energetic dog that loves to play fetch and tug-a-war, go for runs and hikes, and also loves cuddling whenever your just relaxing and watching TV. I run him on a daily basis and once he gets his run in, his energy level goes way down. He has a great bill of health ... (Read More)and all of his shots are up to date. He's suspicious of new people but is not aggressive, and loves to give kisses after he gets to know you. He does bark when the door is knocked on but he's otherwise a quiet dog. He's house trained and can hold his bladder for well over 8 hours if need be. He's not kennel trained but trustworthy in the house (unless you forget to put the lid on your trash can) and will happily sleep while you are gone. Preferred owner: He prefers females over males, but I'm a guy so he will do well with either. No children. No cats. A home with a backyard would be dream come true for Apollo (he's only ever lived in an apartment). He's used to being home alone during the day, but needs to be exercised on a daily basis. Once again I wish I didn't have to give up my best friend, but life moves forward and the job I got is an opportunity I can't pass up. The rehoming fee is $50 and you'll get all of his stuff, which when tallied comes to around $300+. Feel free to call or text 97one-22two-593three. (Less)

Thor is a wonderful family dog. He is 1 years old and was raised in a home with 3 small children and a cat. He has great house manners and loves all children. Unfortunately his family lost there home and had to give him up. Thor is now with me and my pack of dogs while waiting for his forever home. He knows his basic commands like come, sit, down and stay. He also knows how to shake and loves to play ball. Thor loves to go for car rides and hikes, along with just hanging out and watching tv. He does not get on the furniture but definitely wants to be apart of the family and aloud in the house. Thor is great with most other dogs if introduced ... (Read More)correctly but can be occasionally aggressive with dogs he doesnt live. This is not a dog that I would take to a dog park (I am a dog behaviorist/trainer and can discuss this with you in detail if needed). Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed

We need to rehome our beloved family dog, Sant̩. Sant̩ is a wonderful, cuddly, people loving dog but has a few special needs that are described below. Here are some quick facts about her: 'ۢ Boxer/lab mix 'ۢ Female, spayed 'ۢ 5 years old 'ۢ Current on all shots, worm and flea medications 'ۢ No known health issues 'ۢ Housebroke, knows all basic training commands 'ۢ We adopted her as a puppy from a local shelter Sante' loves, more than anything, being with her people. She is a very loving and cuddly girl, and will cuddle with you endlessly on the couch if you let her - we would describe her disposition as cuddly and lazy. She ... (Read More)also never forgets dinnertime, she will kindly remind you if you are late on feeding her. Sante' is 100% absolutely a wonderful, inside family dog. She lives with another male dog as well and loves him dearly. When family/friends bring their dogs into our home she is introduced to them and settles in with them no problem. Although she is a wonderful dog in the house, she has some issues outside. Sante' will randomly and sometimes unexpectedly be reactive towards other dogs on walks, hikes, or other situations where she comes into contact with other dogs. She has been through many training classes and other actions of prevention (which we have exhausted). Three times these reactive behaviors have turned into more serious altercations where a dog has been bitten by her but has fortunately only suffered a few puncture wounds (mind you this reactivity has NEVER been towards a human). She has never seriously injured or killed another dog but we worry our luck could run out at any time. The only options we have to prevent this are to strictly keep her in our house/backyard (we feel this would be cruel as our backyard is not large), to euthanize her (which we do not want to resort to), or to rehome her to the right family/property. This is the reason we would like to rehome her. If you are an experienced dog person and are looking for a challenging behavioral training project, we would like to rehome Sant̩ to you or to a family that will strictly keep her on their property and away from other dogs she isn't familiar with. A person/family with a farm or other large property would be ideal so she can get the exercise she needs without risking meeting smaller dogs. Ideally this person/family would also allow her indoors and on the couch for cuddles. Despite her reactivity toward other dogs, she really is a wonderful little girl and this has not been a decision we have taken lightly, our hearts are heavy. Please give her a chance and come meet her if you and your family could suit her needs. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Oregon
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Oregon Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. The Labrador Retriever is by far the most popular dog in the U.S. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
