Lantero and his sister Lantera arrived in Oregon Sunday 6/3 morning all they way from Loreto Mexico. They are very well socialized with dogs and people but still shy with new environments. They are holding potty for 8 hrs while their foster mom is at work. They have good appetite and are healthy. They weigh like 30+ lbs at 6 mos so they will be around 50-55 lbs. They are very sweet and not hyper active. They listen to me and try to please me:) I usually don't like to place 2 pups together to a home but these pups are so well behaved and play so nicely together so I don't mind not separating them. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

-Courtesy listing- Newton is a gorgeous, pure chocolate, charismatic, approx. 80 lb retriever (either lab, golden or flat-coated) mix with something upright-eared and dense-coated, maybe Chow? He is not over about 3 and has been good with people and most dogs, although he will alarm bark from the kennel to strangers, but settles fine once introduced. He does perk up at birds and critters so may not be good with cats, but has not been tested. He has energy but calms down just fine and would LOVE a family of his own.

Lab    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is probably one of the absolute hardest things I have ever had to do. I am beginning the search for a new home for my 3 year old black lab Raven. Raven is absolutely an amazing dog and I wish I could do anything to keep her and make it work but I can't anymore, I have really bad anxiety and panic attacks and I am just very overwhelmed by her and I need to do what's best for her and me and that is finding her a more suitable home. I am also getting to a point in my life where I am so busy and I am helping a friend with cancer and I just don't have the time like she needs. I will list some good an bad qualities in a hopes to find Raven ... (Read More)the perfect fit and her forever home. Here are the good things about her She is 100% housebroken and doesn't have any accidents at all if taken out. I do morning, around 8 at night and another pee break around 11 before bed and she is great all night. She is kennel trained. She knows how to walk well on leash and will walk in a heel without pulling. She is incredibly smart and picks up new things quickly. She has amazing recall and comes when called. She is great with other dogs and loves going to the dog park. She loves to play fetch, frisbee, swim and hike and would be an amazing running partner. She has had a lot of training and would easily be able to be trained to retrieve birds if you wanted a hunting companion. She is 100% current on all of her shots, is spayed, Micro chipped, has had regularly been wormed, She also has OFA certificates for her hips and elbows and is clear of any defects common with labs and shows no signs of dysplasia. Now for the bad Raven will counter surf and eat anything on the counter so needs to be kenneled when left alone. She will break out of a wire kennel and can never be kept in one. She has to have an airline approved kennel. She cannot be around cats or any animals smaller then herself. She has a drive and even though she has never harmed anything the intention is there and she can't be trusted. She would not do well in a home with small kids. She has a ton of energy and will need a very active home. Raven has a sensitivity to rice so can't have anything with rice and she doesn't tolerate many treats well. I have her on Wholesomes by Sportmix Beef Meal and chick pea formula right now and she is doing amazing on this food and I would highly recommend keeping her on it. I get it on Chewy.com. She will need a very dominant handler. She will also need to hopefully be placed in a very Lab experienced home. She has also been trained with an electric training collar and responds really well with this. Raven really is an amazing dog and I am so sad that I can no longer be what she needs but I am making the decision for both of us as hard as it is I want her to be happy. Raven will go to her new home with her kennel, leash and collar, her bed, her dog food and all of her vet paperwork. I will be asking an adoption fee for her to cover the cost of her vetting, supplies and the time invested in her training. If you are interested in Raven and she sounds like a good fit please feel free to call or text me. I look forward to speaking with her new forever person soon. Cheers to you in your search for a new family member. (Less)

You are going to go BANANAS for me - Banana! I'm a 4 years young sweet, sweet loving girl who is looking for her forever bunch. I love spending time with my humans more than anything else - I get so excited when you come home that I even do a little dance for you. I LOVE snuggling too, we can watch TV together or if you just sit down to tie your shoes - that also seems like a good time for a quick snuggle! I haven't really had any toys in the past so I am just getting used to them and how to play with them. She is very food and toy driven which may make her a good candidate for a search & rescue dog or perhaps agility training. She is very smart and likes to please . She has some basic training but needs someone willing to continue her training. She needs a secure yard (needs training on 'come'). Aida gets along well with other dogs (she loves to play) . Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

old/70lbs Hello. I am looking to rehome our boxer/lab/mastiff mix Petey. He is approximately 9 years old. He has a very mellow demeanor and can be timid around people. We think he may have been abused by his previous owners. He does well with other dogs after introductions. We have 3 other dogs currently, 2 females and 1 small male (chihuahua). He seems to do well with our 17 month baby but I don't let the baby pull too much on him nor do I ever leave him alone with him. Petey is fixed, house broken, and knows basic commands like sit, lay down and comes when called. I'm hoping for new owners that can give him a lot of attention. Taking ... (Read More)walks regularly would be great for him, however he is not currently leash trained. Petey has anxiety when left for long periods of time. Having other pets may help with this. He has extreme anxiety during thunder storms and with fireworks but is ok if not alone. He loves to play basketball and can be very snuggly. I'm worried that he is becoming depressed due to a lack of attention from us. I want him to go to a home that can give him a better life that he deserves. I'm not in a hurry to find him a new owner. I want to make sure he goes to the right place. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Oregon
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. The Labrador Retriever is by far the most popular dog in the U.S. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
