Hello! My name is Gretel and I'm the only girl left in my litter available for adoption and I'm the most laid-back out of all of these guys. I have been keeping her in the yard so that she is safe, but Im not in a place at this time where I am prepared or able to keep her. She is very sweet w/ lots of energy (seems young but has all adult teeth). She plays well with my male dog, but has not met my cats. She seems friendly w/ any and all people she meets. She rides well in the car. I had her checked for a microchip but she does not have one and/or any identifying tags. I'd like to find her people or her forever home, is that you?

She loves being outside, but enjoys the comforts of indoors as well. She loves to be brushed, and loves to snuggle. She sometimes thinks she is a lap dog. :) She is currently living with my Mom, because we cannot keep her where we are living. My Dad has leukemia and they can no longer keep her either. I really do not want to get rid of her, but do not have any other options. If you can love her like we do, please feel free to call me.

Hello! My name is Brad and I'm the smallest snuggle bunny in my litter. I've been told that I'm also the sweetest and the most reserved too. I'm one of 6 pups in my litter that were born into rescue because our pregnant momma was rescued in the Corridor. Thankfully she was rescued so we never had to live a day on the streets. We are all very sweet and cuddly and we hope that you like that because we'd love to start snuggling as soon as possible. We are a bit shy at first because we haven't been around too many people other than our rescue friends and the staff at the boarding facility, so you'll have to be a little patient as we warm up. We are all very silly, playful and adore lots of attention, but our innocence and cautious nature is super cute.     I found this dog on Crighton Road laying on the side of the road unwilling to move. I got out of the car and he perked up, I pet him and he was beyond covered in fleas, obviously hungry and homeless. I picked him up and loaded him in my car. He was friendly and still is. I have 2 small dachshunds and a cat the he romps in the yard and plays well with. He didn't care about the cat or approach it. I have one female and one male dog. SO I gather he gets along with both. He's friendly with both me, my boyfriend and his Dad. He has been outside the entire time I have had him, he's never been in the house. We are building a home and are ... (Read More)staying with my boyfriends father until the construction is complete. There is no where for him....I'm feeding him and he is putting on some weight, I bathed him and finally rid him of all those fleas! He sleeps outside too. I have no information on crate training, house training or even a health evaluation. His hair is growing back in the places it was bald, I assume that is because of the fleas that he no longer has. He cries when you walk off but just for a minute or so, I have never heard him bark (weird, huh?). He's super friendly, healthy from what I gather, smart from what I have worked with him on. 'Down', 'Sit', 'No' and now 'Crighton' are all in the works. He answers to his name now! When I take him off the steak in the ground he runs, plays and hangs out next to me, he doesn't run off and our yard is not fenced. I think he likes the idea of a family. He has no chip and I was informed that he was scrounging in the trash can for a few months from others on FB. He such a good boy that needs someone who will take the time to love him and teach him. He's certainly willing to learn! He's about 29 inches long and 21 inches high from the ground to his back. He's solid rust colored. If your interested in meeting this boy or know someone who might be, please feel free to email me! :) (Less)

This is Jake. He's a really good dog, about 5 years old. He was found roughly a month ago running around on the highway, underweight and scared. I took him in and tried everything i could to find his home. Now I'm thinking he's been a stray for awhile. He's really calm and loving. He loves to play fetch and drops the ball on command. He knows sit and stay and is potty trained. He's good with my cat and my female lab. When we go to the dog park, he's very gentle and loving to those dogs as well. He likes to take walks and swim. Unfortunately, i live in a small apartment with my lab and a cat already, another big dog just really isn't a good ... (Read More)idea. I'm asking $70 to insure a good home. He's healthy now, still needs to put on a little weight, but he's happy and enjoying life. He's good with kids as well. When my 6 year old sister comes to visit, he is very kind and gentle with her, even when she's not being so gentle with him (i.e.-tugging on his tale, pulling his ears) He's being crate trained right now and is doing great!     Melody is a super sweet 3 year old lab & golden mix. She and her 'brother' Bullet, a chocolate lab also available for adoption, were left behind after their family moved in to a new home that does not allow dogs. Unfortunately they were left behind with someone only making sure they had water and very minimal food for four months. The good news is that they are in a better place now receiving lots of good nutrition, food and love. They are both great dogs, well adjusted, fun and sweet as can be

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

My name is Fester. I was wandering the streets of a large city, when a wonderful woman found me and brought me home. I was taken into foster care by a rescue and fully vetted. I am a scared of strangers, and growl at them if they look at me in the eye. After about 5 minutes though, I warm up and after an hour, they are my best friend. But because of this, I do not do well at adoption events. I also like to be by myself. I am super energetic and talkative, yup I do talk back, and my talking scares other dogs. I am loud, what can I say. So, I really need to be by myself. My foster daddy takes me for walks but I try and pull his arm ... (Read More)off to go play with the other doggies, or so I think I want to play. Some dogs I get along with, and some, I do not, so to be safe, I stay by myself. I do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE kitties though. I like to snuggle with em, and I am super gentle. In fact some rescue kittens use to live with me in my foster home, and I would just nudge them with my nose. I have been raised with two adult kitties too, and free roam when my family is gone. I am potty trained and as long as you do not leave out juicy tasty things for me to eat, I can be trusted in the house. Though I am crate trained. I am a pit bull mix, and considered a bully breed. I need that special adopter to understand this and not put me in situations that may cause trouble. I do not go to dog parks and my walks are carefully monitored for other dogs. My foster daddy does not allow kids to come up to me that I do not know. But at my own home, anyone that spends time with me, can trust me. I would not harm a fly after I know you. I love to give kisses and lick you to death, but only if I know you. Daddy calls it stranger danger. So, if you are looking for a guard dog, and you do not already have a doggy, and you have an enclosed backyard for me to play in, then I am your boy. $200 fully vetted.     Callie is the sweetest dog with a shy personality. She is a happy little lady; a border collie/lab mix who needs a family to call her own. She is about 9 months old, spayed, vaccinated , heartworm negative, and current with her flea and heartworm preventative. Callie was found wandering around with a dislocated hip on a southside school campus. She was in danger of being hit again by passing cars. She is curious about cats and loves everyone she meets. Message from Callie: ... (Read More)'Please give me a chance. I need a safe and loving home for ever'|. something that I have never had.     Hello Henley! This big beautiful girl was found running around with another Lab buddy of hers in Seguin. She was very skinny and malnourished when she was first picked up off the streets, probably because she was living life on the road for so long. Life has turned around for this girl and we are gonna help her find the home she deserves! Henley is your sweet, typical, happy-go-lucky Lab! She is affectionate beyond measure, loves everyone she meets and just wants to be a 70 lb lap dog. She is kennel trained although she would much rather prefer to have a bed of her own. Henley does very well on a leash, doesn't pull and would make a great ... (Read More)exercise companion - whether you're a runner, swimmer or a hiker; she is always game for anything! She is no stranger to loading up in the car to go for a ride, so much so that she even tried to load up in the postman's truck while he was delivering mail to her fosters house! And being a Lab, of course, she loves the water! If you'd like to give Henley another chance at a happy life, fill out an application today! (Less)

Sweet sweet sweet - truly sums it up for this girl! Goldie Hahn is meek, sophisticated, and watches the world in an engaged, yet lady-like way. She wags her tail when she sees you and is your biggest fan. She will follow you from room to room. Goldie was a little afraid to come in the house when she first arrived at her foster home, but now thinks life indoors is pretty awesome! We think Goldie was owned at one time seeing how social she is - especially with other dogs and the little ones. She is very mild mannered and well behaved- doesn't jump and is of average energy. Goldie is leash trained, and although it may take her a little time to ... (Read More)plant her feet in new place, we have no doubt she will assimilate well as she is very adaptable! Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament

I'm Molly and I have been in the CARE program for a long time. So when I got to CARE I was super scared of everything. All I wanted to do was run and play with my doggie friends or be by myself and just come see you humans when I felt like it. But I have good news. I have this terrific foster home and they have taught me some really cool things here. So let's start with all the positives. I am a young 2 year old, female chocolate lab weighing about 50 lbs. I happen to be a really beautiful and incredibly sweet girl. I am potty trained and crate trained. I'm walking on the leash with a harness and actually liking it!! I love other ... (Read More)dogs because I am so happy and playful, plus other dogs around make me feel more comfortable. I would really like a home with another fun, energetic dog, because I wear out my foster sibling. We are not sure about cats or kids because I don't have those in my foster home. My foster Mom takes me on car rides and I am starting to like seeing all the sights. My foster Mommy gives me lots of tummy rubs, which I love, but I am still shy. I am a little scared of new environments and things at first, but settle down. If you like me and want me to be part of your family you have to understand that it takes me a little while to 'settle in', more than one or two days, so you have to be patient to see my true colors.
