Rescue Me ID: 14-09-02-00682Isis (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Isis is about 4 1/2 months old. I've had her since she was 4 weeks old and she was a blue and white pittie puppy. As she grows, her fur has taken on a beautiful muted gray-blue/brown brindle coloring and her eyes remain a gorgeous gray. And she has turned into a more of a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire than just a pittie. She's feisty and cuddly but we see more of her personality as she grows. She is also a lover, loves to cuddle and be a sweet girl, and loves to play with her foster brothers and sisters. Isis is potty trained and crate trained. She walks well on a leash and loves everyone. Isis was posted for sale on ... (Read More)craigslist, at 3 weeks old, being held by her scruff. She and her siblings were adopted by the same person, who could not care for 2 puppies. They were being kept in a box in a backyard as their mother passed away after giving birth. She suffered from skin conditions due to her living situation from such a young age. She has since recovered completely! She is a happy puppy and loves to play with her toys. She is very sweet, will give you tiny puppy kisses and likes to be held. This little one will be a fantastic addition to any family that appreciates the bully breed and will properly train and care for her. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-02-00679Duke (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Duke is your all time, playful, happy, active puppy! Hi there! My name's Duke and I love to play! I hang out with the neighborhood kids and run around and around and around! They even have a ball for me to chase! Wow, these kids love playing with me. When I'm not busy being a boy/puppy, my foster mommy says I'm a cuddle bug. I hear that's a good thing? She likes to carry me around and sit with me on the couches and I'm really happy about that. I really like taking naps on her lap but I have to share lap space with my foster brothers and sisters, I would really like my own home! And now I've grown too big for her to carry me around so ... (Read More)I just follow her everywhere! When I wake up, there are big doggies that play with me too! I sure like playing with them. I'm just about 7.5 months old so I have plenty to learn still, but you'll be happy to know that I got the 'go potty outside' thing means. I'm a smart guy; I'm learning some basic command when they stop me from playing and running around having a good time. I know how to sit for a treat though! My room (crate) is where quiet time is. There's lots of soft blankets and toys to keep me comfy and busy. BEWARE -- I love squeaky toys!!! I really would like a home of my very own as foster parents have to save more awesome little dudes like me! That would be awesome for me to be able to give my room to another puppy. So, if I have impressed you with my charming personality and swooned you with my cute, cute face, please let the ladies at Roxy's K-9 Rescue know you are ready for a brand new Duke in your life! They will check my schedule and set up a meet & greet for me. One more thing I forgot to tell you about me. My first family said I am a pitbull puppy? Some people think that's a bad kind of puppy so they gave me away. But I'm not a pittie puppy and I am a very, very good & funny guy. I didn't know there was such a thing as a 'bad' puppy. I am learning how to be a good boy here just like all puppies do when they are loved and cared for! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-02-00669Nick (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Nick was taken to a local kill shelter after he had apparently been hit by a car. This little guy stayed there in the bottom of a small crate, without making a whimper for over a week. We got the word on him and immediately rescued him. Upon taking him to the vet, it was discovered that he had a broken hip and the next day he underwent FHO surgery. He is still limping just a little, but is otherwise in great shape. He is using the leg more and more and should be rid of the limp in no time. He is super sweet and quiet. He is scheduled for neuter this month. Nicks adoption fee is $150.00.

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-02-00657Donny (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Puppy - 7 months old Housebroken Crate trained Super smart Gentle Donny is a typical lab in the smart, sweet and affectionate departments but he's got some interesting "somethings" that make him extra special. First, the beard, which makes him look either like a beatnik or an old man. But Donny is just a 7-month old pup. Mama's dance card could have included a schnauzer, an airedale, a German wirehaired pointer, or a generic terrier mix. Donny's sister is all-smooth, so the wire coat is probably coming from his daddy's side. These have all been offered as guesses, so take your pick. He has a bit of heeler/aussie ticking on ... (Read More)his chest. The wirehair in him helps with shedding. He's not leaving traces of himself in the house. More specialness ... For a lab puppy he's extremely calm. I would trust him around children and the elderly. In fact, he seems to have the temperament to be a therapy dog, and he'll be making nursing home visits with me, his foster mom. He's not a jumper, so I'd trust him around younger children. He's very submissive, so very unlikely to argue over his possessions. He's a neat eater; no flinging food around the kitchen. Although he's not overly vocal he will tell you when someone's approaching your home. Because he was neutered so young, I call him 'Donny-who-pees-like-Marie' No leg-hiking. No marking in my house. He likes car rides and sunshine, hugs and kisses. He'll roll on his back for cuddle time. If he wants your attention, he'll nudge you with his muzzle and/or tug at the bottom of your shirt -- with a cute smile. Great sense of humor. Any questions? Contact me at LyndaDFW@gmail.com. His adoption includes age-appropriate vaccinations, worming, rabies vaccination, neuter, microchip including registration.     No need to go 5 hours for Dallas- she's right here! It started out just a regular trip to the dog park, but for Dallas the trip turned out to be permanent. Her folks took off and left her there just to hang out. Now it's just matter of finding a new home- shouldn't be hard for this sweetheart! Whether it's big dogs, little dogs, or any size in between, Dallas does great with everyone.     Melissa is as sweet as can be! She had a bit of settling in to do, but has come a long way. Because she lived outside, she doesn't always do her business right away. She'd rather play, roll around or stretch in the grass than go potty. She's learning, though! Melissa gets along with her foster brother, and they chase around the yard taking time to cool off in the wading pool. She pretty much ignores the cats other than to give them low growls when they are around. She loves puppy toys and chewing on rawhides. She sleeps in her kennel at night in my room. Rescue Me ID: 14-09-02-00173Jesse (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

Meet baby Jesse at Petco, 4001 SW Green Oaks, on Saturdays (contact lyndadfw@gmail.com to confirm) 7 months old Yellow Labrador \ Golden Retriever I'm a young lady who likes to hold hands with my people and play with my foster siblings. I'm definitely a yellow lab, but my hair is slightly longer, like a Golden, but I have a bit of brown on my tail, which could be Shepherd. I also point at birds on occasion. I'm not confused, just versatile! Professional dog sitter and dog therapist. I need to be part of a pack. I need to have at least 1 (or more!) permanent doggie siblings. I've never met a dog I didn't like, and they like me right ... (Read More)away, too. Dogs that usually don't like other dogs, like me. I would be a great companion to a dog who's grieving the loss of a pack member. I have that 'special something,' the rescue people say. I'm very submissive and have never uttered a growl. I'm also kind of quiet, not a barker. I think cats are interesting but they don't want to play as much as I do. I started out as a very shy pup, but I've joined a writer's group, and I've participated in several game nights at my foster home. At first, I didn't hang out with the big group of people, but then someone produced CHEESE! So I started liking the cheese people. I hung out mainly at the Spades and Chickenfoot tables, 'cause those folks seemed calmer, but I found out that people who play a card game called Spoons fling a lot of food off of their plates when they toss their bodies across the table when someone gets four of a kind. So that's my favorite table for the moment. I'm still timid and shy when I meet new people. I won't jump on you or your friends. I have great manners and just need some time to get used to new situations. I am extremely smart and learn new things easily, especially when there's a hot dog or cheese involved. I learned 3 commands in 5 minutes (sit/down/shake) the first day at my foster home. I do all my business outside. I go to the back door when I need to potty. And I go into my crate when foster mom gives the command. Sometimes she just gives a hand signal, and other times she says a word, so I don't think it's presumptuous for me to declare myself bilingual. I recently starting visiting a nursing home. I let everyone touch me, and I even sat on the sofa next to one of the residents. Everyone said I was so sweet and calm. Foster mom was so proud! ------------------------ Her adoption includes age appropriate vaccinations, worming, rabies vaccination, neuter, microchip including registration with a 2wk health guarantee. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Can you imagine being severely wounded and having nowhere to go and nobody to help you? That was what Tyler had to go through as he hid under a tree deep in the brush in the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, Texas, to try to protect himself from further harm. It was fate that the Corridor Rescue volunteers spotted him that day while they were out feeding all of the strays. They immediately knew that they were rescuing him from death, but he was scared of their intentions and growled at them as a warning to stay away. He very quickly realized that they were his heroes. They gave him rotisserie chicken to gain his trust and water to hydrate ... (Read More)his weak and crashing body. His injuries were so extensive, but nobody knows what happened to this wonderful boy. It could have been that he was mauled by a much larger animal, hit by a car and left to die or injuries at the hands of heartless people. We will never know, but that is in the past and we are all so proud of our survivor for his journey since that day. Tyler is about 2 years old and currently 52 pounds. When he was found, he was just 41 pounds, so he has gained some much needed weight. Tyler has learned so much in the last several months since his rescue. His foster family adores him and he very much enjoys living life as a pet rather than surviving on his own. He currently lives with 2 cats, an 11 year old human sister and many other dogs that range in age from 8 weeks to 5 years and from 2 pounds to 70 pounds. He interacts beautifully with all of the 2 and 4 legged members of his foster family. Like all dogs, a proper introduction is necessary for Tyler so he feels comfortable when visiting new furry friends. Tyler had extensive surgical repairs and treatments to go through after his rescue. His wounds to his rear leg were too great for it to be saved. He has adjusted very well to living life as a tripod. He runs like a gazelle in his back yard, but he wouldn't make a good running partner since his runs are in short bursts. He walks very nicely on a leash and enjoys his evening strolls around the neighborhood. He doesn't like swimming although he has a pool. Other than his severe leg injury, Tyler had very deep wounds on his back that have left permanent scars and he was also heartworm positive. He has recently finished treatment for the heartworms. Tyler has molded well into his foster family because they have provided him with a loving environment, but also with a routine. He requires exercise, discipline and affection and has thrived in a home setting with these simple things. When he wakes up in the morning, he runs to greet his dog buddies first, then his humans, then he eats and then wants to take a nap in his foster mom's lap. He is a dog that seeks approval from his humans and he is a people pleaser 100% of the time. He loves belly rubs, chasing the ball (but rarely returns with it); his favorite toys are the plush, squeaky ones and he is perfectly content for at least 30 minutes alone after you give him one. He clearly prefers to be with his dog friends and people though. He is a lover, not a loner! A couple of his hobbies include chasing bugs, playing in his yard and often dancing in circles to impress. While he's inside, he seeks your attention throughout the day. His given nickname is 'Bear' because he will paw at you for some attention and love. He is very gentle when he takes treats out of hands and he doesn't have any food, treat or toy aggression at all. He likes to sleep soundly on a bed at night with the other members of his pack. The ideal family for our boy is really open because he does so well with everyone that he's met so far. If there are children in the family, over 6 years old would probably work out best for him as he is still learning how to gently paw for attention. He most definitely wants a family that is home more than they are away because he wants nothing more than to spend time with you. He is an all around big goof, easy-going, fun-loving family dog and despite all of the trauma in his life, he has maintained the most appreciative and loving disposition. His foster mom tells him thank you every single day for allowing her to be a part of his life. Are you the lucky first owner of this gentle giant with a heart of gold? If you would like to adopt Tyler, please submit an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under the adoption tab. This beautiful momma and her 10 newborns were just surrendered to the shelter. There are 4 females and 6 males and their eyes haven't even opened, yet, cuz they're just a few days old. As we all know, the shelter environment is no place for a momma to care for her babies, not to mention the possibility of getting sick. Momma has been named Frootloops and the little tan angel is Acorn. He has a little bit of black on his nose and feet. The rest of the babies are solid black or black with brown markings and they are waiting for their names, too! Can anyone make room for this little family so they can be pampered and loved?     Many dogs will come up to a new person to sniff them as a greeting...not Willis!! This guy will roll over and lay in your lap to get to know you better. He is the definition of affectionate and happy. He has never met a stranger and everyone that meets him says he's just the best. Willis is about 1.5 years old, 45 pounds and has great medium level energy. Willis was rescued while surviving the streets of the Corridor of Cruelty with his two brothers Nemo and Arnold. They were fortunately all rescued together and are now living in a boarding/training facility to help prepare them for their new families. Willis is the clown of the group ... (Read More)and his brothers are both very reserved. He's so very loving and social that it is almost unbelievable that he spent even a day in that awful place. It certainly didn't affect his outlook on life one bit. Sadly without monthly preventatives, he was heartworm positive upon rescue. He has been treated and will be given a clean bill of health this month. WooHoo!! He enjoys spending every moment with his new human friends. It doesn't matter what activity you are involved in, he will be by your side running, fetching, swimming, sleeping or even sharing some of your unwanted vegetables. We could have named him Shadow and it would have been quite fitting. This young man really does have it all and we are so excited to announce that he is available for adoption because he is going to bring so much joy to a family. Willis is great with other dogs, big or small, and would love to have at least one to play with in his new family, but more would be great. He is a dream with kids and adults. One cannot be perfect in every single category, so he only tolerates cats, but would probably be better without one as his immediate sibling. This guy is the life of the party and has proven to be just a well- rounded, fun, silly and amazing friend. He would be a great addition to any family dynamic, but would be best in an active family with kids that will allow him to tag along for all of their family events. Willis is currently crate-trained, leash-trained, housebroken and is currently working on learning basic commands such as sit, stay and settle. You might want to hurry because this guy WON'T last long with us. The fee for adopting this pet is $150. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Willis, please submit an adoption or fostering application at www.corridorrescue.org If you have any questions please contact corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com thank you!     Jett's collar shows he once had a home but somehow he ended up at animal control and he is very unsure there! He is very worried and takes a while to warm up to you. When we took his picture he hardly wanted to come out but once he was out he could hardly contain himself! He seems like he is just not sure how to act or what is expected of him. He also seems to trust women more than men. His adopter will definitely need to invest time into making him feel secure and comfortable. He is solid black and likely has labrador retriever in him. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Max is a gorgeous, sweet boy looking for his forever home! He is good with both cats and dogs, but would also be content being the only animal in the home. He really just wants love and attention from his people! He is neutered, potty trained, and is able to be left out in the home during the day. He is very calm, laid back, and loves to lie on the couch and receive attention. We had been feeding Max on the streets for almost a year when another dog in his pack was diagnosed and treated for TVT. TVT is a canine transmissible venereal tumor. It is basically a sexually transmitted cancer in dogs. After we pulled and treated 2 from his ... (Read More)pack, we noticed Max had a tumor on his penis. Unfortunately, we were financially maxed out and could not afford treatment (estimated anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000). We watched as his tumor grew and became concerned that it would eventually block off his urethra, causing his bladder to swell and rupture, a slow, painful death that we were not about to watch him go through. We decided the best option was to euthanize before he could reach that point. We posted one last plea and amazingly, Max's guardian angel stepped forward to fully fund his treatment and foster him until he has found his forever home. Max has responded very well to the chemotherapy and is cancer free! He really deserves a loving forever home! Please email us at BlueBelleRescue@gmail.com if you are interested! (Less)

Brownie was living on the mean streets of Houston for approximately one year. Even on the streets he was a friendly but quiet boy. He is crated trained and know some basic commands. He walks extremely well on leash. He is not the dog who is going to be the life of the party but will be your laid back companion. He does get along with other dogs and would do well with a calm friendly fur friend. What exposure he has to cats he has shown no aggression. He tends to just ignore them as if to say I see you but not interested. He does like to give kisses when he knows you and his face lights up when he sees you. He can have moments of excitement ... (Read More)and does the Happy dance. He is extremely treat motivated and will make you laugh at the complete attn a treat will bring. He would do well in a home with an older couple or a family with older kids over the age of 12. If you like to take leisurely walks, or just hang out on the porch he is the perfect boy. He has been in boarding for nearly 4 months and needs to find a Family to call his own. He deserves a chance to live out his life in a loving home and not as a throwaway pet. If you are interested in Brownie a meet and greet can be arranged. Adoption papers and home check is a must. I am his finder, feeder while on the streets and his voice so I want to make sure that he will never be a throw away again. If you are interested in this wonderful boy please feel free to email me.     Blackjack or Jack is 2yrs old. He's a sweet, gentle boy. Jack is heart worm negative and on preventative. Jack had hip surgery when he was 6 months old and he has a slight limp. It doesn't prevent him from running but he can't go on long walks. The vet assured me he wasn't in any pain. Jack loves the water and chasing tennis balls. He's a typical lab with the sweet demeanor of a golden retriever. He's a very good watch dog and rides well in a car. For more info email green326@sbcglobal.net.

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Meet Arnold! This striking pup is just now learning all the wonderful things that come with living indoors and leaving behind life on the streets! Arnold was found wandering the roads of the Corridor with his brothers, Willis and Nemo, when our volunteers rescued this handsome trio. He has such a unique coat and people comment on this constantly. Arnold is about 1.5 years old, 40 pounds and has a medium energy level. He is currently boarding with our friends out at K&M Canines where he is learning how to socialize with people, other dogs, kitties and horses! It is clear that he was not loved upon and socialized properly to this world ... (Read More)because he is quite shy. We know that he warms up to people, but it just takes him a little while to trust and understand that people can be good. He has already made great progress. So far, Arnold has learned that he LOVES tasty treats and he will do just about anything for one. He loves being in the company of other dogs and will need to have a doggy sibling in his new family because he is more of a follower and enjoys a confident companion. His new buddy will be able to help him adjust to his new environment once he is part of a new family. Arnold LOVES to play and he will leap across the yard after a toy. He really enjoys playing with the bouncy balls and he will dance around with one after he has caught it. He is a friendly boy despite his personality being hesitant to meeting new people. We always introduce him to the newbies slowly along with his favorite treats and that does the trick every time. Arnold is already crate-trained and housebroken, but he is still learning the ropes of being an indoor dog, so we are working on training him to know which items are toys and which are not. He is still learning his sit, stay, settle commands but with the help of a patient new owner and treats for motivation, it won't be long before Arnold is the perfect gentleman. This fella is already neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and just recently finished up treatment for heartworms. Other than being a shy guy, he is more than ready to get into his home, get comfortable and bring on the love. If you can provide a home for Arnold, please fill out an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under the adoption tab. Please contact corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com with any questions. The adoption fee is $150. Thank you! (Less)

HOTCH - Hotch is the freckled face boy of the group. He is 5 months old and weighs 12 pounds. He is some sort of terrier mix and may end up being a mini lab. He will probably not get any bigger than 25 pounds as an adult. I rescued this trio from ACS, a very high-kill shelter when they were just babies. Rescue Me ID: 14-08-26-00570Doug & Donnie (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

DOUG is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog / Labrador Retriever Blend. He weighs 22 pounds which is much lighter than normal for a dog his age. But he was rescued from an owner who didn't think it was so important to feed his animals, only the mothers as he was breeding dogs for profits. We convinced him to let us have Doug and his younger brother Donnie. Both were so skinny. Gosh the way they ate their food when they first came to my home, those little boys were truly starving. I had to feed them several small meals each day until they gained some weight and started to trust that they would be feed regularly. Doug is a quiet but ... (Read More)playful dog. He loves to receive love as it was something he did not get before. He is very well behaved, about 90% potty trained, fully crate trained and he gets along with all of his foster brothers and sisters. He instantly rolls over when you approach him for a belly rub. When he first came here he was very protective of his younger brother but not anymore, they both run around and just have a good time playing. They are being raised indoors, they sleep in a crate at night and when I leave the house. Poor things did not even know what toys were; they would watch the other dogs playing with toys with bewilderment on their faces. Now it makes me so happy when they grab a ball and take off running to play chase! Doug and his young brother Donnie would love a home to call their own. They do not have to be adopted together and they would make good playmates for another dog big or small or just as a family pet. THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Donnie is a 6 month old Labrador Retriever / Australian Cattle Dog mix. He weighs 15 pound and will probably reach at least 30 pounds as an adult. Unfortunately he was found very emaciated so his growth was stunted from the beginning. But his personality is alive and well. Since being in my home, he has learned to trust, he knows he will be fed and held and he is having a blast playing with his foster brothers and sisters. He is already potty trained, about 90% and fully crate trained. He watches and follows what the other dogs do. He has taken to one of his foster sisters, a yellow lab who is also 6 months old but much bigger than him. Her name is Samantha and she lets Donnie beat her up and run behind her like a shadow!! Donnie is preppy and happy and really enjoys getting some love. I think he likes that best about being in a home; he was deprived of a normal life with love at a very young age. He is not a barker; he likes to play chase and tug of war with toys. As long as you give Donnie some love, he will fit right in. (Less)

A caring lady decided to help and contacted AAR. Lobo looked like an old blind man when he came to us but he truly sparked a feeling of love and potential.     Matilda is doing well and coming out of her shell. It's so good to see her tail wagging and a smile on her face! She will go in her crate when asked (and treated) but really does not like being in there. Nonetheless, I have caught her starting to nibble on area rugs (and shoes) as lots of puppies do, so I don't think she can be left out in a house unattended yet. She is always out when I'm home and does great with my boys (2 Labs) and listens when I ask her to 'leave it'. She seems to be very bright and is picking up on our routine after just 2 days.     Hi Everyone! Please allow me to introduce myself'| my name is Zandra, and they say I'm a Lab mix who is about 6 months old. I'm so happy to be in a foster home, but I really think it's time to find my forever home! I get along fantastic with other dogs and my foster-sister--we run and play together all the time! I'm a little afraid of the cat and like to bark at her, but foster-mom thinks that with a little bit of work I might learn that cats are okay. I'm very affectionate and love to get pets and belly rubs. I come when called (almost all the time!), and I'm already learning to sit on command. I walk well on a leash and like to ride ...     My wife and I are fostering Echo until she finds her forever home. My friend asked us to help him find her a good home. He rescued her when she was 1 year old. She had been severely neglected; kept in a closet with little food or water for her first year of life. She is very sweet to her owners but shows some aggression to other dogs. She is impatient with young children. The ideal home for Echo will have a yard and older or no children. She should be the only dog or be paired with other dogs her size. She is very affectionate and obedient. She is house trained. Please help us keep this girl out of the shelters. We aren't able ... (Read More)to keep her for much longer and counting on you to give this sweet girl another chance at life. (Less)

She was adopted as a puppy from the Humane Society in 2009 and has a microchip with old out of date owner info. She was found as a stray about a year ago and a woman took her in. Said woman dumped her on my neighbor and told her she wasn't coming back for her to 'get rid of her'. I'm in rescue and gladly took her in. She is absolutely perfect, I don't have any idea why anyone would get rid of her, in fact if I didn't have loads of dogs, I'd keep her myself! She loves water ... (Read More)and is just a dream. Willis loves to lay out in the sun and roll in the grass. Willis does great with children and lets them lie on him and play cars on him. He is still quite clumsy so smaller children may get knocked over easily. Willis is still learning his manners so he will need someone who is patient and willing to work with him to continue his training. Willis is great at chores and especially loves to help with laundry. He is always underfoot with a bone in his mouth and a smile. He loves chew bones and dog toys of all kinds. Willis is perfect for road trips, trail hikes, dog parks and new adventures.     Tucker was found in 107-degree weather tied up behind a building near the Corridor Rescue feeding trail. Someone had made an effort, although a sketchy one, to try to get him rescued by our feeders. Thankfully it worked. When he was found he was skin, bones, welts and injuries holding on for dear life. He had been tied up and the tie had imbedded in his flesh, he had rubber bands cutting off circulation in one of his paws but thankfully the tissue hadn't died. He was injured, sick and pitiful. He had one beautiful spark in his big brown eyes, made even larger by the fact that he was a living skeleton when found. Now he is healthy again, ... (Read More)filled out, and seeking a forever home. He is somewhere between 3-6 years old. He looks young, acts like a laid back puppy, likes other dogs and people. His coat is shiny with white accents and he stands proudly. A white line bisecting his face makes those somber eyes even more striking. He is part Chocolate lab and has beautiful markings. His coat is cocoa and white, think of hot chocolate and fluffy marshmallows. Tucker is a very sweet and quiet dog. He is very well crate-trained and will make a dash for his crate for feeding time. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and loves car rides. Sometimes when he is sleeping, he dreams and makes noises as though he's barking with his mouth closed, though he never seems to bark when he is awake! Tucker made it through our drought, near starvation, being tied up and left to die, and even heartworm treatment, but he is still in dire need of one thing to survive - Love. He needs a forever home with a family who will make him theirs where he can love and be loved. He is surprisingly calm for one who has seen so much sadness. He is crate trained and polite and would make an immediate impact in a great home. He is a great dog in need. Please consider making him yours! His adoption fee is $150.     Emma My name is Emma. One day I was abandoned to live in a pasture for cows. I used to swim in the cow pond, it was a good way to cool off, plus my Labrador Retriever mixey genes told me it was a good fun thing. Luckily, Justice for Toby saw our plea for help and Rachel enticed me to go with her with macaronis made of cheese and fingers made of chicken and a whole bunch of trickery. Little did I know at the time how much I actually enjoy being at Miss Rachel's foster house. But I am looking for an adopter house to live in. I am twinsies with my sister Lola. I have two more sisters too, Maryanne and Ginger, but they are not exact ... (Read More)twinsies with me like Lola. I am still a little bit hiding in my shell, but I am submissive and sweet with people. I love to spend time and play with other dogs. I would likely be sweet with a kitty cat. I am learning about potty and crate training. I am a FEMALE and almost 5 months old I am spayed and up to date on shots. If interested in adopting me or one of my siblings, please contact justicefortoby@pawsunitepeople.com. I am near San Antonio, Texas, but can be adopted out of state! (Less)

Bonnie and Leroy are 1 1/2 years old, Plott Hound/Lab mix with a beautiful brindle coat. They were born at my home when their pregnant mother was rescued from a city park. Even though they look alike, Leroy has a beautiful white chest. They both weigh about 45 pounds and have reached their adult height and weight. They are potty and house and crate trained. They are also inside/outside dogs. Leroy likes to run and play chase and follow your every footstep. Bonnie is more maternal and takes good care of the foster puppies who come in. Both are good watch dogs.
