Holly is a very sweet little girl. She is about 4.5 months (as of 2/16). She is already spayed, up on shots, chipped, and ready for a home. She is good with other dogs, cats, and fine with calm kids. She is already house and crate trained. She uses a doggy door in her foster home. She is an active dog and would do best in a home with fully fenced yard and someone who will exercise her. She is a typical playful young lab. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-31-00678Oatmeal (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Oatmeal is ready for adoption. She is a MAJOR cuddle munchkin and just needs a proper exercise regime to loose some of that baby fat. She walks well on lead and appears to not require an extreme about of energy release. PLEASE NOTE: At this time I would only place her in a home without dogs and cats. She seems obsessed with chasing cats at Goldrush and has been reactive toward dogs who do not initiate an interaction with her.

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Asia is my timid little girl who is afraid of EVERYTHING. Each session we all go for a long walk, then play in Goldrush's outdoor fenced in pen and then calm down with some light massaging. Asia allowed me about 1 minute of pet today, which was very encouraging. I have also began testing her with specific touches such as her feet and she did not respond poorly to that. I am going to need more time to work with her, HOWEVER, the good news is that she may be good with other dogs. I will need time to really determine that. Asia is a 2 year old lab husky mix. She is very timid and our training is working on her socialization skills ... (Read More)- so far she is good with other dogs. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-29-00425Duke (male)

Lab    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Duke is a patient and very good natured six year old Black Lab (Born July 23rd, 2009). He's generally pretty mellow, but will zoom around happily when you get him riled up. He loves going on walks, playing chase (sort of like fetch, except that once he's got the ball he doesn't want to drop it), watching to see what food the humans have, and inspecting for any overlooked morsels of food that may have been dropped. He's sweet and a little mischievous, good with people of all sorts, Duke is fully house broken and knows basic commands (sit, stay, wait, ok). He's also very treat motivated, so he should be quick to learn any new tricks. He ... (Read More)minds quickly (especially if there's a treat on offer). We'll send him home with you with his bed, a bag of dog food, and an assortment of leashes and collars. Life threw us a few curve balls this year, and we're going to have to move from the house with the big yard to something... smaller. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to take our 3 dogs with us after we move. For that reason, it is with great regret that we must find a new loving home for this truly wonderful boy. We're also trying to find a home for Dukes brother, Sam. A very happy-go-lucky and affectionate White Lab. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-29-00341Sam (Sampson) (male)

Lab    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Sam is a very sweet, good-natured, and goofy character! He happily somersaults onto his back and grunts with affection when petted and is rarely seen without a smile on his face. He loves the water, endlessly playing fetch, taking walks around the neighborhood, and snoozing by your feet. He adores people and other animals, is fully house broken, and would do well in any loving home. Born March 28, 2011 (so currently 4 years old). We'll send him home with you with his bed, a bag of food, an assortment of leashes, collars, toys, and whatever meds I have on hand at the time. Sam has had some basic ... (Read More)training and knows general commands (sit, stay, wait, ok) but has a dominant personality and a short attention span. He'll obey, but not always immediately (unless there's a treat involved, then he's 100% focused and quick to mind). He is an otherwise healthy dog but does have a seizure disorder that is extremely well managed with medication and a good quality dog food (he currently gets Costco Natures Domain brand), so fortunately seizures are a very rare occurrence for him. Instead of the standard once a year vet visit, he goes in every six months -they do a check to make sure he's still getting the right amount of meds to keep the epilepsy managed. He gets two pills thrown in his morning food dish, and two in the dinner bowl, and that's all it takes. He just got a checkup around Christmas, so he's current on all shots and wont need to go back in until June (BTW- Vet says he's healthy as a horse). Life threw us a few curve balls this year, and we're going to have to move from the house with the big yard to something... smaller. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to take our 3 dogs with us after we move. For that reason, it is with great regret that we must find a new loving home for this truly wonderful boy. We're also going to be trying to find a home for Sam's brother, Duke. A very patient and laid back six year old Black Lab.     Lulu, Joslynn, Huey, Louie, Dewey, Spice Girl, and Tank were rescued when the mother could not nurse her puppies anymore and they needed to be supplemented. They are 8 weeks (as of 1/18/16) and are ready for local homes. Their mother (now spayed) was a lab/pit and not sure on dad but we are pretty sure he was a similar mix based off of how these guys look. They are fine with other dogs, cats, and calm kids. The adoption fee covers spay/nueter, deworm, current shots, and microchip. For more info please call 435-215-9282 or email soutocsp@hotmail.com

Meet Doc, he is a one and a half year old Labrador Border Collie mix, he may possibly have Pointer in him as well. Doc was going to be owner surrendered to us but the family found it much more convenient to take him to the local shelter. We pulled Doc and he is now at the Menagerie house and hopefully headed to a foster within the next few days. Doc's owners gave him up because he is a very high energy dog. They kept him outside most of the time and when he was inside he was in a crate, so like most dogs when he was free in the house he would be overly excited. The family used to give him sedatives to keep him calm. This gorgeous black and ... (Read More)white boy really isn't any different then any other dog his age and breed we haven't had any issues with him at the Menagerie. He will need a very active family that can work with him on getting his energy out. He would make a great running partner. Doc is a very smart dog and he is eager to please his master he would do well with an owner who likes to train and work with dogs. He gets along very well with other dogs and seems to adore the other seven dogs in the house. Doc also seems to do fine around cats and hasn't reacted negatively to our birds. He has not been around small children, but does fine with other kids. Young ones may not be the best for him because of his active personality Doc is house and crate trained he needs a bit of leash work. He knows his basic commands. Doc is looking for the perfect family for him. His adoption fee will be $160.He is neutered and fully vaccinated if you are interested in Doc please send an email to fullmermanagerieanimalrescue@live.com or call us at 435-406-6779. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

JJessie is a seven year old Labrador Retriever Bull breed mix. Jessie came to us seven years ago. Jeannine, the founder of the Fullmer Menagerie Animal Rescue was out trucking when a man came over the CB radio saying that he had a puppy and that if someone did not come and get it at the next truck stop he would throw it out the window. Jeannine being who she is, went to pick up little three month old Jessie. She has been with us since. Jessie is such an amazing dog, she loves attention and is very out going. She has never met a person she doesn't like. Jessie adores kids of all ages, and enjoys be able to play with them, she would love a ... (Read More)home that has kids. This stunning black girl isn't very fond of sharing her human's attention though, so it would be best if she went to a home with no other dogs or cats. Jessie is a very active dog, who will need a family who can keep up with her busy little butt, a half hour walk twice a day would be enough to satisfy her wiggles, along with some play time. She loves to play ball and tug. Like any other Bull breed Jessie has a tail and a half which is always wagging, along with her silly crooked smile, she is such a happy girl. Nothing would make her happier then finding a home of her very own. This lovey girl enjoys spending time out doors, loves to go on hikes, and go swimming. She also loves to sit back and relax with his master. She is spayed and fully vaccinated, she is also house, and crate trained. Jessie's adoption fee is $160. Jessie is hoping that she will find someone to fall in love with her this month. Will that person be you? If you are interested in Miss Jessie send an email to Fullmermenagerieanimalrescue@live.com or call us at 435-406-6779. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Marley seems to be pretty young, probably around year, 2 at the most. He looks a bit like a pit, but has the lab body and coloring. His fur is very short. He is great with other dogs and kids (there are both in his foster home). He is house and crate trained. He is a very happy and playful guy. He likes to play with other dogs and would be a great dog to take to the dog park. He is not good with cats and seems to have a prey drive for them so a home without cats is a must. He LOVES to play and would love a home with children to play with. An active home would best suite him. He is mellow too, but he loves to run around and play. He is a good ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Utah
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Utah Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs.
