Rescue Me ID: 14-12-08-00536Sawyer (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Sawyer was rescued from a high kill shelter. He is approximately 1.5 years old. He was found wandering around in a field and people were feeding him. He is timid at fist, but extremely sweet once he attached to you. He likes to follow you around the house. He was abused and neglected by his former family and left to fend for himself on the streets. Once he got into the shelter had a target on him for being a pit mix and a bit timid, as well as being malnourished. He is currently in a foster home being fattened up and treated for a cold. Once he is healed and fixed on 12/19 he will be available. He was severely mistreated by people his whole ... (Read More)life, yet he still trusts people and loves his foster mom. He is good with dogs of all sizes and did fine during a cat test. He is a very mellow and easy going dog. He is starting to come out of his shell in his foster home and is making strides in the right direction. Please consider offering this poor sweet boy a furever home. He needs a stable home that can help make up for the neglect of his former people. For more info on Sawyer please call 435-215-9282 or email soutocsp@hotmail.com (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Poor Kaylee has been neglected for most of her life and it shows. She is fairly young based off her teeth, but her body shows the wear and tear of humans using her as a breeding machine and then throwing her away on the streets. She was then picked up by a high kill shelter and almost killed due to overcrowding. She is a total love and is great with people. She is not very fond of cats and seems to have a bit of a prey drive for them. On the other hand she has done fine the small dogs and large males. She is getting used to the female lab in her foster home, but would do better in a home where there are no females since she is a bit ... (Read More)dominant. She is looking for a loving home to make up for all of the neglect that she has suffered throughout her life. We are getting her skin healed up and her in overall good health. She has been a trooper through it all. Please consider offering this sweet girl a loving permanent home and show her the love that she deserves. Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Emma is a sweet and loving Rottweiler we have owned for the past 4 years. She is loyal, energetic and athletic. She is an amazing hiking, running and skiing companion. She comes when she is called and obeys simple commands. She loves to sleep in bed with us! We are very sadly putting her up for adoption as we have a 9 month old baby and she has shown aggressive behavior towards her. She has also become increasingly territorial at our front door. She is an amazing dog but not the right fit for our family right now. Please contact us if you could provide a loving home with plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun.

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Male Dogs Only, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current

Montana is a small beagle/lab mix who is as smart as can be. She knows a lot of commands, is completely housebroken and crate trained. She was surrendered to us after the owners had their baby and now have another one on the way. She is not good with smaller dogs and most likely would do best in a home where she was the only animal. She is so well trained will sit stay and retrieve specific toys. Previous owners donated her beds, crate and all her toys so that all goes with her. She is at the Heber city animal shelter and would sure like to get out of there and find her new forever home.

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Marley seems to be pretty young, probably around year, 2 at the most. He looks a bit like a pit, but has the lab body and coloring. His fur is very short. He is great with other dogs and kids (there are both in his foster home). He is house and crate trained. He is a very happy and playful guy. He likes to play with other dogs and would be a great dog to take to the dog park. He is not good with cats and seems to have a prey drive for them so a home without cats is a must. He LOVES to play and would love a home with children to play with. An active home would best suite him. He is mellow too, but he loves to run around and play. He is a good ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Utah
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.
