Animal ID: 044Diesel (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Diesel is a handsome lab mix who could play all day if he were given the chance. He is a happy boy who loves to talk and tell stories, even when he perhaps shouldn't. He needs someone who is willing to work with him to let him know it's okay to be quiet. He needs a yard to play in and would love to have another dog in the home who likes to play! Diesel would be a great candidate for sports such as fly ball and lure course, or even just a hiking buddy! We prefer to adopt within about 150 miles of the Salt Lake City area. His adoption fee is $250

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Chawhee is a 3 yr old black lab German shorthand mix. He weighs about 120lbs. He listens well, we are able to let him outside without a leash and he stays in the unfenced yard, he is house trained, and very friendly but also protective if he feels the need. Due to allergies and how small our house/yard is we are looking to rehome him for his best interest. He loves to be outdoors not very leashed trained tho. He does have a chip as well if he gets lost we can give you the paperwork for that. He's had his shots but it's been over a year since last ones.

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-26-00359Lucy (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lucy was born in 2009. She is a Dalmatian/Black Lab mix. I adopted her from the Cache Humane Society when she was 8 months old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is very healthy as I exercise her a lot. She has been my trail running/snow shoeing partner. She has a lot of stamina and energy. She would make a great on-leash running partner for someone. She has in the last year developed a bad habit of chasing deer which could get her or me or both in trouble where we live. As a result she has been on a leash and is well behaved on a leash. The issue that really makes the need for a new home is that she can climb my hog panel ... (Read More)fence and escape our back yard where she lives and proceed to find deer to chase. She is very friendly and good tempered. She is good with kids, other dogs, and cats. She seems to have been born to an indoor life initially but I have kept her outside with a heated (when below zero) doghouse. Please call or text me at 435-757-0940 if you want to inquire about adopting Lucy. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Utah
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Utah Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Labs are descended from St. John's Water Dogs. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
