Rescue Me ID: 16-06-23-00330Little Bit (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Little Bit, this sweet girl had a bit of a rough life. She was hit by a car causing a pretty substantial injury to her back leg, her owners did nothing for it and Little Bit became very painful. She was confiscated from her family and brought into rescue. Little Bit went in for surgery and is recovering well. This girl is just the sweetest thing in the world. She loves all people including kids, she adores other dogs, and enjoys cuddling with kitties. Because of her injury she will need a family willing to give her the time she needs to heal, she won't be able to do any crazy activity. She is a low energy dog, and would do well with a ... (Read More)short walk once a day. She is a six year old Bull Breed Labrador mix. She is hoping to find her forever home soon, one where she can cuddle, and just enjoy life. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and house trained. Her adoption fee is $150. If you would like to add Little Bit to your home please send an email to hsnuadoptions@gmail.com or visit humanesocietyofnorthernutah.com where you can find an application. Little Bit can't wait to go home with you. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-21-00012Isis (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Isis is such a sweet loving dog. She has had a rough go at life and has traded owners hands quite a bit. It makes me really sad to have her change hands again but with how much I work in do not have the opportunity to love her and help her become the animal I know she can be. She knows most commands like sit, lay down, paw, other paw and roll over. But she is also stubborn and needsee a stern hand to make her listen. I feel she would do best in a only pet home or with someone who can make sure she won't teach the other dogs her bad behaviors.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Utah
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.

lnteresting Lab Trivia Low-Cost Utah Spay & Neuter Clinics
Labs have very gentle mouths and can even carry an egg without it breaking. One rescue lab named Jake helped dig through burning debris at Ground Zero to find people trapped after 9/11, and later helped with rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Labs became popular in nineteenth century England.
