Very active dog who needs more training than we can give him. He's been good with our kids but is very fearful of men and warning nipped my dad and husband. He's been going to day care twice per week to get socialization.

We have two adult labs. A father and son who have lived together their whole life's . We are trying to find a great family who would be willing to rehome them together. This photo is the son max. They are wonderful family pets who are indoor dogs. They have been around kids all their lives. And are great with kids. We have been unsuccessful in finding housing that will allow pets after a job relocation.

Hi, My name is Grizz. I am an * year old Chocolate lab. I love to be with my humans. I love going on walks and sitting around the house. I am scared of fireworks. When i was younger i was shot by one of my previous owners. I have been surrendered and am with my foster family now. I get along with all dogs but un-neutered males. i am not fixed. I don't potty in the house. i will let you know when i have to go to the bathroom. I am an all around good boy and deserve all the treats you can afford. my foster family is asking $150 for my adoption fee to help cover the dog food and vet visits i have been to since they took me in.

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-14-00584Miko (female)
Miko is a very sweet and loving dog. She is not socialized with other dogs. Our circumstances are not suitable for her. She would like more love and attention than we can give. She does not chew or bite and is a quick learner. I hope you can give her more love than we can!

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-04-00355Brown- Pete Yellow- M (male)
Pete is the brown lab, he is about 8 yrs. Murphy is the the yellow and he is about 6. They are great guys, the kids have grown and I work . They need a family that can give them the attention they need. They come in and out all day but do have a kennel. They sleep inside.... Great with kids! They both think they are lap dogs! I'm very torn about getting rid of them but it's not fair being alone 12 hours a day...

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-20-00350Chloe (female)
We have had some things come up where we cannot keep Chloe. She is house trained and caught up on shots. She is amazing with kids and adults, but takes a while to get used to kids. She has a lot of energy and is very loveable. We are asking $50 because we are giving her kennel, bed, bowls, food, food container, treats, treat container, leashes, collar, toys, shampoo and harness.

Skill is a pretty well behaved puppy. He knows basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down. But he needs basic obedience training. I am moving to Washington in a month and a half and can not take him with me. Contact me for any questions at 8016233501. Texting is preferred.

Animal ID: 16-08-04-00209Mak (male)
Mak is a very good dog who has been loved and taken care of, for the most part. He belongs to my 18 year old son who seldom takes him for walks. He loves the dog, but the dog is left home alone all day, by himself, and he has nothing to look forward to. He recently lost his two sheltie brothers because we are in a financial crisis and will be moving to a place within 10 days, where we cannot have animals. Ideally, my son would like to visit with Mak, but the main concern is that the dog goes to a home where he can run, play in the water, be around other animals, and be loved. Mak is a very good boy. He is very loving and kind, he's full of energy, he's been taken to the vet and has a clean bill of health. I would love for him to go to a home that can give him a real 'dogs life'. If visiting, or photos and updates is an option, that would be greatly appreciated. We got him when he was 8 weeks old. He has never experienced any type of abuse, whatsoever. He has zero issues, and if we could keep him, we would. He's great with other animals, and people. However, I've noticed that he does bark at small children, but I think this might be because they are eye level with him, and he's not used to small children. He's a wonderful companion, and very eager to please. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-28-00767Doc (male)
Doc is a one-and-a-half year old Labrador-Border Collie mix (he may possibly have Pointer in him as well) who looks forward to going outside and being active. Doc was going to be owner-surrendered to us, but the family found it more convenient to take him to the local shelter. So we pulled him and brought him to the Menagerie so he could have a better chance at finding his new forever home. Doc's owners gave him up because he is a very high-energy, active dog. They kept him outside most of the time and when he was inside, he was in a crate. So like most dogs, when he was free in the house he would be overly excited. The family used to give him sedatives to keep him calm as well. So we want to find him a forever family who will give him the love, attention, and active lifestyle he really desires. A family who is willing to work with him on getting his energy out each day, whether that be going for a walk or run, throwing a ball in the park, or wrestling around in the back yard. He would make a great running partner because he absolutely loves to run. Doc is a very smart dog and hes is eager to learn and would do well with an owner who enjoys working with and training dogs. He gets along very well with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. He has not acted negatively around the birds at the Menagerie either. Doc has not been around small children, but does great with bigger kids. A family with young children may not be the best fit for his active personality though. He is also house and crate trained and is working on leash training. He is doing very well with his basic commands too. If you're looking for an active, happy, and playful companion to enjoy the outdoors with, Doc would be a great fit for your family. He would love to find his new forever home today. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-21-00012Isis (female)
Isis is such a sweet loving dog. She has had a rough go at life and has traded owners hands quite a bit. It makes me really sad to have her change hands again but with how much I work in do not have the opportunity to love her and help her become the animal I know she can be. She knows most commands like sit, lay down, paw, other paw and roll over. But she is also stubborn and needsee a stern hand to make her listen. I feel she would do best in a only pet home or with someone who can make sure she won't teach the other dogs her bad behaviors.

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-30-00111Kay Dee (female)
Yellow lab, possible mix. Wonderful, friendly, healthy 8-9 year old female. Very seldom barks, never aggressive with humans or animals (we have cats, chickens, and goats). Other dogs have visited our home and she plays well with others. Needs a home where she can be part of your family. She has a habit of chewing on her own right front and left back paw (not infected. Could be a nervous habit. She follows simple commands and is house trained.

Lab Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.
