This stunning black girl is currently up for adoption. Jessie is a four year old Pitbull Labrador mix. She came to us four years ago; the rescues founder Jeannine was out trucking when a man came over the CB and said if someone didn't come get the puppy from him at the next truck stop he was going to throw her out the window. So of course Jeannine being who she is went and picked little three month old Jessie up, and she has been with us since. Jessie is an amazing girl who just wants to get out and see what the world is made of. Jessie is good with kids, and loves everybody she meets. She would prefer to go to a home with no other dogs, ... (Read More)but with the right family she could do amazing, she gets along well with the puppies at the Menagerie. Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Katie was rescued from a high kill shelter. She came in with her legs bowing inward and walking on her knuckles. It happens when a dog has growth spurt and the tendons cant support the growth. This is an easy fix with splints. She is under the care of a local vet, Dr. Bice. She is in a foster home. She is already walking much better than her initial entrance into the shelter. She does get around fine and is an active happy little girl. We will be working on fixing her leg issue and she is available to a local home only. She can even be in a foster to adopt situation and we will cover the vet bills. It must be a local home. Otherwise we will ... (Read More)get the issue corrected but we will be looking for her furever home. She is a super sweet little puppy and deserves a loving home. She is good with other dogs and is is in a foster with cats. She is roughly 10 weeks when we took her in (1/11/15). We will be updating pics and info as she improves.     Max is a gorgeous Weimaraner x who, when he recently turned 2, began showing dominance toward the previous owner's dog. They brought him to the shelter and he is now waiting for a new family to find him! He's gorgeous, sweet, housebroken, totally trained. Just would do a lot better in a home with no other dogs. Come see him at the Heber city animal shelter and take him home!

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-07-00419Kaylee (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Poor Kaylee has been neglected for most of her life and it shows. She is fairly young based off her teeth, but her body shows the wear and tear of humans using her as a breeding machine and then throwing her away on the streets. She was then picked up by a high kill shelter and almost killed due to overcrowding. She is a total love and is great with people. She is not very fond of cats and seems to have a bit of a prey drive for them. On the other hand she has done fine the small dogs and large males. She is getting used to the female lab in her foster home, but would do better in a home where there are no females since she is a bit ... (Read More)dominant. She is looking for a loving home to make up for all of the neglect that she has suffered throughout her life. We are getting her skin healed up and her in overall good health. She has been a trooper through it all. Please consider offering this sweet girl a loving permanent home and show her the love that she deserves. Rescue Me ID: 14-09-29-00571Marley (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Marley seems to be pretty young, probably around year, 2 at the most. He looks a bit like a pit, but has the lab body and coloring. His fur is very short. He is great with other dogs and kids (there are both in his foster home). He is house and crate trained. He is a very happy and playful guy. He likes to play with other dogs and would be a great dog to take to the dog park. He is not good with cats and seems to have a prey drive for them so a home without cats is a must. He LOVES to play and would love a home with children to play with. An active home would best suite him. He is mellow too, but he loves to run around and play. He is a good ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Lab in Utah
Lab Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Labrador Retrievers are friendly dogs that are popular in multiple countries as family pets. Labs are friendly, playful, trainable dogs. Labrador Retrievers need companionship and are excellent with children and other dogs. Most labs are too friendly to make good guard dogs. Labs can adapt to apartment life with sufficient daily exercise but do best with a decent sized yard.
