Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This beautiful golden-eyed boy is very calm for just a 10mo old pup! He has a wonderfully sweet temperament and he loves everyone. He gets along great with other dogs, too. We desperately need a foster home... although he's also available for adoption. He's house and kennel trained, and he has polite manners when meeting new people (he does not jump). He loves to run around the yard or go on a nice long walk or hike. He also loves to ride in the car. He must have a fenced backyard and because he's still quite young, he should not be left alone for more that 6hrs or so each day.

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-06-00497Nemo (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Everyone loves the movie 'Finding Nemo' right? Well, that is what this awesome little guy was named...and everyone will love him too. This handsome and silly boy is looking for his family to make his life complete! Nemo was found wandering and just trying to survive the ugly streets of the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, Texas with his two brothers, Willis and Arnold. They were rescued recently and are now living a life that they could not have imagined before. Regular meals, love and affection, daily play time in the yard and a comfy bed are all things that were new and exciting for these boys. They also have a ton of friends now and ... (Read More)have learned how to socialize with other dogs, people and cats. Nemo is about 2 years old, 45 pounds and has a medium energy level. Nemo loves to go for long walks and play indoors after a nice jog. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is usually the leader of the pack of clowns. He loves people, but can be a bit shy for a moment when meeting new people. He has a moderate energy level, meaning he knows how to run and play, but also enjoys coming inside to just hang out with his people. Nemo is already crate-trained, knows some basic commands such as sit and settle, and is housebroken. Nemo was sadly heartworm positive when he was rescued, but that is a very common problem with the strays in Houston. He has been treated and completed it like the champ that he is. This Nemo is not a clownfish, but we can guarantee that he's fun and silly like a clown. If you are looking for a great dog that will brighten your days, Nemo is a perfect match. Nemo currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Seattle because we have amazing volunteers that live here who help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The grand total for adopting this pet including adoption and transportation fee is $375. To adopt Nemo, please submit an adoption application online at www.corridorrescue.org under the adoption tab. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

What a petite girl! Holly is about 2yrs old and weighs only about 40lbs. She's an adorable little girl that loves everyone and will make an awesome family dog! She loves to go on car rides and she's always up for a long walk or hike. She's still young so needs more training and socialization so for now, she's still a bit insecure with other dogs so no other dogs or cats in the home for this girl. She's a very sweet girl with her people and will thrive in a moderately active home. She must have a fenced backyard in which to run and play... but she really just prefers to be where her people are.

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered

Taz is a 3 year old male that is sweet to his people. He is obedient, crate trained and trustworthy in the house. Taz would make a great companion to anyone who wants a friend. He would do great as a farm dog. He grew up in the country. He is sweet and loving. Taz can be dominant around other dogs so we would prefer him being the only dog. My daughter and son in law have moved and could not take him. They are very sad to give up their pet and would like to find a loving home for him. We cannot keep him because we work and travel a lot. Rescue Me ID: 14-09-04-00562Hooch (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello, I'm Hooch! I'm told that I'm such a sweetie! I am nearly for sure they say a yellow lab and basset mix Because I look exactly like both of those mixes!!!! I am they tell me 2 years old or 2 1/2 years old maybe even possibly 3 years old? I am a sweet dog. I haven't had tons of socialization so will just need some training in how it is to be a spoiled pooch living in a home having my own bed and being loved and doted on. My foster mom gave me pillows to sleep in in my kennel and gosh how i love that. I love to roll on the grass on my back with my legs in the air. That is so much fun. I like water but I'm not a ball dog. I like other ... (Read More)dogs but I think I like females better than males in general. If I live in a home with another dog I think if it is a male it needs to be somewhat submissive (perhaps?) but definitely I should not live in a home with a dominant male dog. I raise my ears and I'm very curious on walks when I see cats but I think I can be trained to leave them alone. I do not pull to chase them or bark at them when I'm walking and I see them. I will need you to teach him how to sit, come, the usual things a dog gets to learn when living in a home. I am very friendly and I love humans. I'm learning how to be a love bug, I got so used to being independent but over time I'm certain I will be more and more of a love bug. I like all dogs I have met except for one dog that was not nice to me... He was kind of a bully... all other dogs I have met I liked and played fine with. I haven't met small children so the humans can't say yet how I am with them, but we think I would be fine as long as they didn't do things like pull my tail and /or jump on me. I would love to be living in a home with you in the NW. My adoption fee is flexible as the rescue wants a great forever home and is willing to lose money rehoming me but ONLY if I have a great forever loving home. I have come a long way being transported from Texas. I have been fixed, microchipped and fully vetted. I know not the BEST photos I'm MUCH cuter in real life. TX is very HOT so before I arrived in the NW I had some play time in the water to keep cool. Thank you for considering me as your new best friend. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-01-00592Tyler (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Can you imagine being severely wounded and having nowhere to go and nobody to help you? That was what Tyler had to go through as he hid under a tree deep in the brush in the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, Texas, to try to protect himself from further harm. It was fate that the Corridor Rescue volunteers spotted him that day while they were out feeding all of the strays. They immediately knew that they were rescuing him from death, but he was scared of their intentions and growled at them as a warning to stay away. He very quickly realized that they were his heroes. They gave him rotisserie chicken to gain his trust and water to hydrate ... (Read More)his weak and crashing body. His injuries were so extensive, but nobody knows what happened to this wonderful boy. It could have been that he was mauled by a much larger animal, hit by a car and left to die or injuries at the hands of heartless people. We will never know, but that is in the past and we are all so proud of our survivor for his journey since that day. Tyler is about 2 years old and currently 52 pounds. When he was found, he was just 41 pounds, so he has gained some much needed weight. Tyler has learned so much in the last several months since his rescue. His foster family adores him and he very much enjoys living life as a pet rather than surviving on his own. He currently lives with 2 cats, an 11 year old human sister and many other dogs that range in age from 8 weeks to 5 years and from 2 pounds to 70 pounds. He interacts beautifully with all of the 2 and 4-legged members of his foster family. Like all dogs, a proper introduction is necessary for Tyler so he feels comfortable when visiting new furry friends. Tyler had extensive surgical repairs and treatments to go through after his rescue. His wounds to his rear leg were too great for it to be saved. He has adjusted very well to living life as a tripod. He runs like a gazelle in his back yard, but he wouldn't make a good running partner since his runs are in short bursts. He walks very nicely on a leash and enjoys his evening strolls around the neighborhood. He doesn't like swimming although he has a pool. Other than his severe leg injury, Tyler had very deep wounds on his back that have left permanent scars and he was also heartworm positive. He has recently finished treatment for the heartworms. Tyler has molded well into his foster family because they have provided him with a loving environment, but also with a routine. He requires exercise, discipline and affection and has thrived in a home setting with these simple things. When he wakes up in the morning, he runs to greet his dog buddies first, then his humans, then he eats and then wants to take a nap in his foster mom's lap. He is a dog that seeks approval from his humans and he is a people pleaser 100% of the time. He loves belly rubs, chasing the ball (but rarely returns with it); his favorite toys are the plush, squeaky ones and he is perfectly content for at least 30 minutes alone after you give him one. He clearly prefers to be with his dog friends and people though. He is a lover, not a loner! A couple of his hobbies include chasing bugs, playing in his yard and often dancing in circles to impress. While he's inside, he seeks your attention throughout the day. His given nickname is 'Bear' because he will paw at you for some attention and love. He is very gentle when he takes treats out of hands and he doesn't have any food, treat or toy aggression at all. He likes to sleep soundly on a bed at night with the other members of his pack. If there are children in the family, over 6 years old would probably work out best for him as he is still learning how to gently paw for attention. He most definitely wants a family that is home more than they are away because he wants nothing more than to spend time with you. He is an all around big goof, easy-going, fun-loving family dog and despite all of the trauma in his life, he has maintained the most appreciative and loving disposition. Are you the lucky first owner of this gentle giant with a heart of gold? Tyler currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Seattle because we have amazing volunteers who live here to help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. Lab Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We used to live on 5 acres (2.5 fenced), where our dogs had plenty of room to run. Last year, we moved to a lake with barely over 1/2 acre of property (only a small portion is fenced). Until recently, Scooby was content with the limited space, but has finally figured out that he can go out into the lake & wade over to the end of the fence. We can't extend our fence across the lake; therefore, we no longer have a way to contain him. Scooby is my baby, and a loving home is a must! We adopted him when he was 10 weeks old. He was chipped & neutered before bringing him home. We kennel trained him, and he was an indoor dog for the 1st 1-1/2 ... (Read More)years. When we brought home a 2nd puppy, we quickly realized that dogs playing with eachother in the house wasn't our thing, so we moved them both outside. We have a cat who hangs out with both dogs...he rubs his body against their legs & will sometimes curl up next to them to sleep. Scooby is great with kids of all ages, but does tend to get a bit hyper. He'll accidentally hit toddlers with his tail, or turn too quickly & knock them over. We walk with our 23 month old granddaughter when Scooby is near her, just to make sure he's being 'gentle.' When elderly people are walking outside, we kennel him, just in case he gets too hyper & clumsy. He doesn't bite, even when he's upset with people (ie: clipping toenails, shots, being poked & prodded). He does get agitated when random dogs walk near our fence line. His hair stands on end, he whines, and becomes territorial...the vet tells us he's just doing what dogs do...protecting his property. He's been boarded several times at McKenna Kennels & they tell us he's never had any issues when outside with the other dogs. (Less)

Daph is a wonderful high energy lab with no papers. We got her as a pup from a family that breeds hunting labs. Her father was black and her mother was chocolate. Daph is yellow with chocolate features, brown pads, green eyes, brown nose. Daph is starting to resource guard my husband and has shown anger to our small dogs due to it. Daph has some training and because of her blood lines would make an excellent hunting dog. She will fetch for hours if allowed. Needs training around regulating herself to calm down. Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Mr. Chuck is an excellent boy! He could have really been named Curious George because he is such an explorer and likes to know what's going on at all times. Chuck is a very inquisitive puppy and quite intelligent. He notices everything! Chuck has loads of puppy energy and is constantly entertaining us with his puppy shenanigans. He is very well-behaved on leash and will go anywhere at anytime. He is absolutely a perfect companion for people and dogs; however this is not the case for the feline friends. He is a bit too much for cats and should be adopted into a cat-free family. He loves to meet and play with all of the new dogs and ... (Read More)people at the dog park or while walking on his leash in the neighborhood. He already knows 'sit' and is smart enough for his new owner to teach him lots of commands quickly. He is very charming and eager to please his human companions and gets compliments constantly. This very sweet boy is tall and slender, has an adorable curly tail and a balletic stance. He loves to play all day and then cuddle up with his people before bedtime. He's the best of both worlds, fun and cuddly! Chuck is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, house trained and crate trained. He is about 1 year old and weighs approximately 60 pounds. He's a great size, active enough for outdoorsy activities and calm enough to watch TV with you too. Charming Chuck is ready today for his new family and for new adventures, so please contact us at corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application under the adoption tab at www.corridorrescue.org if he sounds like the perfect guy for your family. Chuck currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Seattle because we have several amazing volunteers who live there that help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other areas via the United Airlines PetSafe program. We have worked out a very cost-effective way to transport these lucky dogs to their new homes. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The adoption fee is $150 for all of our dogs. The total cost for adopting this pet is $375. For questions or more information please email us at corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com (Less)

This little boy & his 2 brothers was found on the side of the freeway in a box & taken to ACS - a high kill shelter. We rushed over & picked them up right away. They were so tiny and needy and so stinking cute!!! Well, with some love and good food, they grew very well . They played with their foster brothers and sisters and developing their personalities. They bounce around like little bunnies. There were 3 Chipmunks and now only Alvin is left. Alvin is 5 months old now and I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. That is his foster brother Titan who is also available for adoption. He is active, adventurous and independent but loves to play. He is the leader, even if he doesn't go too far, like to the next room!!! When they go outside to potty, he takes off as if he is running for the ice cream truck; Alvin is a funny little boy. Alvin would do best in a home with a doggy playmate as he gets lonely and bored being the only dog. His favorite foster brother Titan is also available for adoption. While they are in our homes, we socialize them and train them as much as possible before adoption. We crate, house and potty train them. And then we work on commands. TITAN His name says it all, Titan. I am a 6 month old Labrador /Shar Pei / Terrier mix and I am just a happy, happy puppy! He runs the puppy pack but also on the sensitive side. I get along great with all the dogs. My foster mom has a easy time training me because I'm so smart!!! I love my toys and I love to play. If you rub my belly I smile....my ears might eventually stand up...we are not sure. I'm such a calm, cook guy that I really do not do well in a loud, excitement environment and I would love to have a doggy playmate as a companion. Dumped on a street corner, Heaven stayed on that corner for 4 days waiting patiently for her people to come back, even through thunderstorms.     Hello, my name is Leo. I am 8 yrs young and am lab/german sheep mix. My mom adopted me and my brother Beau when we were only 5-6 weeks old and raised us. I have always had wander lust (so a good fence is a must to keep me safe) and led Beau on many adventures, one of which got me hurt %BD'%BD|. bad! I fell down some big boulders and broke my elbow %BD'%BD| It now is bionic and has never caused me any grief. I can run and play with the best of them. Beau and I always went to Auntie Gretchen's for 2-3 weeks in the summer when mom went on vacation. Auntie has been trying to convince mom for years that even though I am so sweet and ... (Read More)cuddly, I see myself as alpha (at least over Beau and mom)%BD'%BD|. I learned years ago that auntie is alpha in her house and I don't argue the point. Mom recently got a divorce and for months, Beau and I came to auntie's house%BD'%BD| Mom finally found a place and we all moved in. I got very irritated with her and the others when they would go to work so I decided to show em who was boss and I ate the furniture, tore up carpets and door moulding %BD'%BD| mom finally put a camera to see who was doing the damage%BD'%BD|. Beau and Jax would go hide when I got wound up. Mom is renting and finally, tearfully asked auntie Gretchen to try and find me a new home %BD'%BD|. my good traits are: I know sit/down/stay and walk nicely on a leash. I am learning 'wait' here at auntie's house. I love to play fetch and am happy running and playing with other dogs. I HATE being tied up and will bark and whine to show my displeasure. I know to stay off the furniture and I don't get into the garbage. I adore humans and don't care what size they are. I don't guard food or toys and am not a picky eater. I am crate trained and need a nice roomy, strong one. I am completely house broken. I love going for car rides and just generally being with a human. I don't jump on people and I am not a obnoxious licker of humans. I do have a couple of faults%BD'%BD| I will destroy any toy that is filled with stuffing. I have been known to destroy my bedding if it is 'fluffy' (though I am doing way better). I can be with cats but should have some supervision since I do like to see if I can make them run from me. I need a family that will shower me with love and affection and take me in as a long lost family member. (Less)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

SHADOW is a miracle walking. He was saved at the 11th hour from a high-kill shelter. SHADOW is a two year old boy. He is a gorgeous black lab-pit mix. He is neutered and has a microchip. Current with all his shots. This boy needs lots of love since he literally gave up on life at the shelter. He has been in a boarding kennel waiting and waiting for a forever home that he deserves. Can you offer that to him? He would be best as an only dog. He is large, about 90 pounds so older kids would be best.
